The whole basis of comp pick's is built around good talent leaving...no good talent left here last year. I don't know anyone was really expecting the Bengals to get anyone after seeing who we let walk last off season.

Agree. The FO should have seen that as well and it would have been a good time to sign FA’s if they aren’t getting comp picks anyways.

I think it goes back to, we were so late into getting the staff in place they themselves didn't even know who or what they wanted. That is why I think the wording they have used this year is interesting because it comes across like "We need talent in these places and it doesn't exist here".
