Besides Burrow....?
#21
Well, I'd love to see Murray, Baun or Queen if a BPA doesn't trump them. Ideally if Lucas Niang, Austin Jackson or Isaiah Wilson are ther in the 3rd the same applie. I try not to get caught up in targeting a player, but these two could fit very well.

Antonio Gandy-Golden would be a project that could drop to the 4th with this WR class. He would be a heck of a template to work with as a big framed deep threat Burrow could use on the outside.

Anfernee Jennings EDGE There's a glut of rush types in the mid rounds and it would be nice to have his rush and run stuffing in the rotation at OLB.

Good on you McNeil for finally starting a thread to talk about what you really wanted to, instead of whining about people focusing on Burrow too much in their own threads. Glad you took my suggestion.

As to the OP, I’d love to see us take Murray and Pittman in the 2nd and 3rd.

Chinn or dugger as an ol prospect. Love their athleticism and versatility.

Ben Bartch has been an ol I try to get in the 4 in a lot of mocks

Antonio Gandy golden and John Hightower in mid to later rounds, respectively. Agg seems to be rising lately

While I understand wanting Burrow to feel comfortable, Jefferson is a slot reciever which is now being held down by Tyler Boyd.

TBS, I'd like to see Chase Claypool WR in 3 and Thaddeus Moss TE (LSU) in 4...

I've been pimping ADG the LB out of App State since early December. If we miss or pass on Braun at 33, I would be pretty happy if we get Gaither in the 3rd or 4th.

Claypool, Thadeus Moss and Logan Wilson are my guys at this point.

Love Runyan as well along with your boy Davis-Gaither. Cool

I think Jefferson is too much like Boyd and Burrow will find his go to from that standpoint in Boyd. That'll be a connection Burrow finds early and often.

We also don't use TE's so I don't think they grab his good friend Moss, as they have to figure out how to use CJ, and justify Sample.

If they want to give him a security blanket keep you eye on CEH. They love their 2nd round RB"s and Mixon is going into his final season. They like to replace the RB's early. If they trade back and pick up an extra pick losing out on Baun/Mims/AJE, then brace yourself on the curveball 2nd round pick.

Keep your eye on Troy Dye and Willie Gay Jr. in the mid rounds with maybe one of those extra picks if we trade back.

We truly appreciate you mentioning your man crush, per the usual, and good on you for patting yourself on the back. Great job!

We also appreciate you adding a couple of names to the list in an attempt to make your post legit.

I like all of those guys. Claypool is a very good athlete. Pittman reminds me of a taller and slightly faster Anquan Boldin.

I predicted awhile back that we'll draft Moss. Could be wrong, but I could see it happening as well? Read a good article on the Mountain West LBs just a couple of days ago.

If we miss out on Murray, Queen and (perhaps) Baun at 33, I would take a long, hard look at Jeremy Chinn. He''s only 3 pounds lighter than ADG (App state) who is being called a 3rd down LB specialist. I see Chinn as that type of player as well, but with a tantalizing athletic profile with a 4.45 40, 41 vert, 138 broad (3rd, 2nd and 1st among safeties, respectively). He could be an Isaiah Simmons like weapon on defense.

If we're not willing to take that risk at 33, due to him being a small school prospect, then maybe Kyle Dugger in the 3rd would be a better value, as he offers a similar athletic profile.

I also really really really like Michael Pittman Jr and Brandon Aiyuk in the 3rd round.

If we're really as comfortable with our Oline as the coaches claim to be, I could see a Burrow, Chinn, Pittman draft in the first two days as being...pretty close to perfect. I'd prefer an offensive lineman in the 2nd day, but I just don't think it's likely at this point. If that's the case, LB/defensive pass specialist and WR jump to the top of my wish list in day 2 and there are some really attractive options at both 33 and 65.

Who’s “we?” Do you speak for the board now, or do you have multiple personalities?

It would be hard for me to pass on this wide selection of wide receivers at pick 33.Of course if there were a really good LB there,or maybe a really good RG I may have to take one of those,,,then go WR on pick 3.It would just depend on who is there with the pick.As we all know, sometimes some really unexpected things can happen in these drafts.

I'd be cool with landing Thaddeus Moss-TE in the 4th round.

I would, too. I kind of hate our TE group tbh. I mean, Uzomah is ok, and the jury is still out on Sample, but after that it’s pretty thin. After OL and LB it’s probably our weakest position group. I’ve heard this is a weak draft for TE’s so if we’re going to grab one might as well be Burrow’s buddy. And the son of an all time great.

I don't think it would hurt to draft someone Burrow is familiar with.  Moss strikes me as a professional and someone who will excel in the league.  He didn't drop one pass in 2019.  That's impressive.

Lately I've been feeling like we're likely to draft Denzel Mims at 33. It's been pointed out that our WR coach was his WR coach his sophomore year at Baylor. Plus, he specializes in that back shoulder stuff that Burrow thrived on at LSU. And personally, I think having somebody Burrow actually played with is overrated... I mean we want him to be our QB for 15 years... what happened last year will fade quickly.

Mims is not going to be a rookie contributor, which is why he maybe falls out of the first round. But we don't need him to start right away. We just need him to develop for a year and start for either Green or Ross, whichever turns out not to be in our long term plans. And they won't both be.

I’m all for it if he’s there at 33, I just don’t think he will be.

You may be right. I just glanced at the CBS Sports mock draft page and 4 of the 7 "experts" (some of whom make really whacky predictions) have Mims sliding to 33.

So we won't know for a week and a half or so. But, my thinking is that while he's a clear first round talent, many teams picking late in the first will ask themselves, "do we want a guy we have to groom for a year, or do we want a guy who will make an impact this year and get Pittman or Shenault or Higgins in round 2"? It's just a deep receiver class, which pushes guys down - that's how we once got Marvin Jones in the 5th round.

I don't know if he'll be there or not but receivers are going to slide big time in this draft!
