Besides Burrow....?

So we won't know for a week and a half or so. But, my thinking is that while he's a clear first round talent, many teams picking late in the first will ask themselves, "do we want a guy we have to groom for a year, or do we want a guy who will make an impact this year and get Pittman or Shenault or Higgins in round 2"? It's just a deep receiver class, which pushes guys down - that's how we once got Marvin Jones in the 5th round.

I don't know if he'll be there or not but receivers are going to slide big time in this draft!

You have bad teams up at the top and even in the middle who need WRs who will take the top guys.  Then you have playoff teams who also need wideouts who might take the next wave.  The top guy in that second wave seems to be Mims.  Minn, BG NE, SF could all be looking at WRs.

This thread definitely reinforces what we know, the Bengals need to improve in many areas. Free agency helped with that, but it appears we still have the following needs:

OL
TE
WR
LB

I surmise the Bengals should just take the best player available to start the second round.

1. LB - Troy Dye, Logan Wilson, Jordyn Brooks, Willie Gay - any of those guys would immediately upgrade the pass defense.
2. S - Antoine Winfield, Grant Delpit
3. WR - Michael Pittman Jr, Bryan Roberts
4. OL - Lucas Niang, Ben Bredeson, Muti (Fresno St.)

I predicted awhile back that we'll draft Moss. Could be wrong, but I could see it happening as well? Read a good article on the Mountain West LBs just a couple of days ago.

Pittman is definitely another WR I really like, so many good ones in this Draft. Aiyuk reminds me of TY Hilton.

Definitely could see us drafting Moss in the mid rounds. This is why I am all for us trading back at least once in either the
2nd or 3rd to add another pick. We have the most valuable pick in every round, lets stock up on the strength of this Draft
at WR and interior O-line.

He''s only 3 pounds lighter than ADG (App state) who is being called a 3rd down LB specialist. I see Chinn as that type of player as well, but with a tantalizing athletic profile with a 4.45 40, 41 vert, 138 broad (3rd, 2nd and 1st among safeties, respectively). He could be an Isaiah Simmons like weapon on defense.

If we're not willing to take that risk at 33, due to him being a small school prospect, then maybe Kyle Dugger in the 3rd would be a better value, as he offers a similar athletic profile.

I also really really really like Michael Pittman Jr  and Brandon Aiyuk in the 3rd round.

If we're really as comfortable with our Oline as the coaches claim to be, I could see a Burrow, Chinn, Pittman draft in the first two days as being...pretty close to perfect. I'd prefer an offensive lineman in the 2nd day, but I just don't think it's likely at this point. If that's the case, LB/defensive pass specialist and WR jump to the top of my wish list in day 2 and there are some really attractive options at both 33 and 65.

Agree with this for sure CJD, never really thought about Chinn at LB before.

He does have the measurables as you say.

Perfect spot to take Moss after his foot surgery, he will fall cause he will not participate much in his rookie season.

After OL and LB it’s probably our weakest position group. I’ve heard this is a weak draft for TE’s so if we’re going to grab one might as well be Burrow’s buddy. And the son of an all time great.

Think TE is being overlooked, the 2 Superbowl teams had the best 2 TE's in the NFL.

Moss or Degaura are who I want in the mid rounds.

We WR help also.  Maybe not as much as at those other 2 positions, but this is upposed to be a deep draft for WRs so I think we may take one early.

I agree that these three positions are the biggest needs. AJ hasn't gone an entire season without missing time in a few years and Ross has never gone a full season. A nick here and a hamstring there and the starting WRs could easily be Boyd, Tate and Erickson for some games. I just don't like the odds of that.

The TE position is lacking pass catchers, but the draft is weak in those.

Fred with a loaded class at WR i figure they could still get one they really like in 4th round..  so 2/3 round focus on LB and Oline...how early you think we might take a WR?

Another WR that I like is Quez Watkins out of Southern Miss. He runs a 4.3 forty, and could probably picked late. He's supposedly drawing interest from the Eggles..

I will check this guy out on youtube next Coach. Been hearing his name.

We need speed, just hope he can run good routes and catch the ball. My speed guy in Ross hasn't been able to do this
even if injuries have been a factor most of the time. Quez Watkins eh...

He's 6'2" 190 pounds. Ran second fastest 40 at the combine, behind only Ruggs.

I doubt Justin Jefferson makes it out of round 1, but if the draft surprises and he falls to 33, it would be a cool pick.

I'm assuming Lamb, Jeudy, Higgins, Ruggs, and Jefferson could all go in round 1.
