If they play games in empty stadiums...
#1
I'm going to request that my picture is taped to my seat in The Jungle, along with an ice cream sundae* sitting on my chair in memory of how I would have wanted it.

*substitute sundae for hot chocolate for any games in December and beyond.

Real men eat hot fudge sundaes no matter how cold it is.  J/K.

I heard in Korea, where they are playing professional baseball in empty stadiums, they are putting cardboard people cutouts in the seats.

Okay, go to the store and get me 65,000 poster boards.

To the players, it will feel like an afternoon scrimmage. MNF would definitely not be the same. Maybe we get a win in Prime Time? It will be different and have an eerie feeling at first. Like watching Dawn of the Dead sports version. Probably wont be cheerleaders either, I mean, what would be the point? On the plus side, beer will be cheaper, you can still tailgate at home, knock one out with the significant other during halftime, no fear of DUI on way home, Couple hundred bucks still in bank account, and actually get to work on time Monday morning. The glass is half full.

LOL, that would be funny. You could load it up with celebrities, cat and dog heads, the muppets, etc. Now that's a wild crowd. Hell, throw a few porn stars in there, it's not  like they are going to make a mess. Couple of blow up dolls in the crowd would be cool too. Always have that surprised look on their faces. Omg, omg, omg, you could have like Big foot there and the Lochness monster as well. I'm excited now.

Come on, be realistic.
You just need 47,000 to simulate real games!  Hilarious Hilarious Hilarious
Zac Taylor 2019-2020: 6 total wins
Zac Taylor 2021-2022: Double-digit wins each season, plus 5 postseason wins
Zac Taylor 2023: 9 wins despite losing Burrow half the season
Zac Taylor 2024: Started 1-4. If he can turn this into a playoff appearance, it will be impressive.

Sorry for Party Rocking!

There's a reason I've only been to two Bengals games lol

Certainly will be different with no fans. Sadly as an older man with asthma I won't be going back anytime soon.
Gotta get a cure for this crap where we can get in there & root on our new qb.  Rock On

I'd hope they'd at least play music or something during the game. I can't imagine a football game with a stone quiet background.
Everything in this post is my fault.

They play music anyways, cannot see why they would want the stadiums stone quiet.

I mean during actual plays, not between downs.

Just use interactive viewing.  Offer a low cost service for NFL fans to have the noise from their living rooms, accumulatively blasted through the stadium PA's of whichever game they are watching.

Okay, I get that. Plus you don't want to hear the announcers just talk all the time and sound like idiots like some of them
normally do. Sure doesn't sound like fun hearing Collinsworth and his raspy voice talking up the Steelers all the time with
no noise whatsoever.

Anyways, I think this virus thing is overblown and will be died down by then.

Been really rough on some people and down right terrible but it will pass as do all bad things.

Home team gets to control the piped in crowd noise.

Then players think there are fans in the stands  Nervous Nervous Nervous

Of course always need that female fan yelling and making noise while we are on offense and asking for quiet.  ThumbsUp

I am so ready for 2024 season. I love pro football and hoping for a great Bengals year. Regardless, always remember it is a game and entertainment.

Here in Australia, our major sport Rugby League had one week of games in empty stadiums before they shut down and it was actually interesting as you could hear the players talking to each other throughout the game. Could hear the hits much better as well. Rugby League is interesting as it doesn't have stoppages between plays so you could hear players calling out plays and sledging each other.

Interestingly enough Rugby League is looking at restarting on May 28th!

As a South Australian / Tasmanian / Victorian, I can't let this go. Since when was rugby league Australia's major sport?

I think the league and just about every league, baseball, etc., is going to be forced to cut ticket prices and salaries to the bone just to survive. Think about it a moment..If most everyone is living in near depression or in a full blown economic depression it's gonna be mighty tough to justify multi-million dollar salaries to players when nearly every stadium sits empty simply because nobody can afford to go.
After all..imagine getting excited about a team signing anyone to a 20 million dollar contract while your own family is on the brink of starvation.. Even Magic Joe couldn't throw enough TDs to make the rest of us feel good about making tens of millions of dollars to throw a football. I think the whole structure is eventually get redrawn if we're deep in depression and seats are empty.. I really don't expect any kind of quick economic rebound any time soon.  Even tv revenue is gonna be on the chopping block when advertisers can't afford to pay out big bucks every Sunday.. Talk about trickle down economics?  That's trickle down in reverse..

Yeah..The whole world is just like the US..American football and baseball.. Except that the rest of the world seems to like "the other football"..You know..that game they play by actually kicking the ball most of the time?  The game we give the sissified name of soccer?
