R1P1: Joe Burrow, QB LSU. The franchise selected. Need to move Dalton; watch out for a draft day trade of Dalton.

ROUND: 2 PICK: 6
ROUND: 3 PICK: 5
R2P6: Ezra Cleveland, OT Boise State After securing the Franchise, the Bengals have holes to fill and an aging roster and therefore move back to pick up a 3rd round pick. Bengals still land a top tier OT. 6'6" 311lbs. Size, length and athleticism allows him to play LT in a zone blocking scheme that will benefit Mixon (if they can get him on the field). Ezra's natural position is LT and Jonah Williams natural position is RT. Burrow has two tackles to keep him standing (and prevent him from being Klingler'd).
R3P1: Willie Gay Jr., ILB Mississippi State Tobin said at Combine he is looking for a high character (and vocal) defensive leader at linebacker. Gay may or may not be the character leader he is looking for - academic cheating and got into a fight with his QB at Miss State. What Gay brings is a compact frame (6'1" 243lbs), athleticism and speed (4.46 at combine). PFF gave him the highest score in coverage among all linebackers in this draft. For now the Bengals got what Tobin wanted in a leader with the FA acquisition of Josh Bynes. Josh will provide the leadership for the team and can, hopefully mentor Gay. Starting LB'er squad would be Gay, Bynes, and Pratt - this team's ability to cover TEs and RBs is dramatically improved.
R3P5: Cameron Dantzler, CB Mississippi State Letting go of Dre means the team needs a CB that has potential to start at some point. Dantzler showed he has potential to start on Sundays based on his performance against LSU and Bama this year. Teammate of Gay - double dipping from Miss State this year. Dantzler is a long physical (6'2" 188lbs) corner that fits the Bengals zone play. Speed is a concern provided that he ran 4.64 at the combine but again, he showed what he can do against NFL level receivers this year.
R4P1: Damien Lewis, G LSU Speaking of double dipping...bringing in another LSU talent. This guy, who is often mistaken for a forklift, blocked fantastically for Burrow in college so let's see if he can do the same on Sundays. Athleticism is a concern - is he quick enough at his size (327lbs) to outside zone block? This is why he is 4th round and not 2nd round. With two talented and athletic tackles, they can help cover this gap if it appears. Lewis can road grade on the inside for Mixon and keep Burrow standing, as he did in college.

Bengals Sent:
Billy Price
Bengals Received:
ROUND: 4 Pick 123
R4P123: Antonio Gibson, WR Memphis Travis Fredrick abruptly retired leaving Dallas without a Center. Bengals has Billy Price and a better Center in Trey Hopkins. Time to move on from Price. Burrow would do well to have the next awesome weapon to come out of Memphis. Gibson (6' 228lbs, 4.39 at combine) is like a younger Giovanni. He may actually be a better weapon for the offense than Mixon. If Mixon holds out and doesn't play, Gibson could be the answer. He is one part RB and one part WR. If the Bengals want to run and gun as LSU did this year, Gibson is the guy to be in the backfield.
R5P1: Thaddeus Moss, TE LSU Eifert is gone and it leaves a spot at TE. Burrow's buddy from LSU...son of Randy...has a high ceiling. His foot injuries are concerning (especially since he is so young) and part of the reason he falls to here. Unit would be CJ, Drew (I hated it when they picked him) Sample and Moss.
R6P1: Evan Weaver, ILB Cal This is the type of leader that Tobin talked about. Concern is...is this cat built for modern NFL? He is high character, a leader, a tackler, high production guy. If not a starter, he could be a back up (what Nick Vigil should have been) and a special teams contributer/leader.
R7P1: Lawrence Cager, WR Georgia Wouldn't be a Bengals draft without snagging a Georgia kid. 6'5" 220lbs - size and same school as AJ Green. Doesn't have his speed though. Unfortunately we didn't get a 40 time from him at the combine. Big strong hands and had no drops this season. Bengals need to add young blood to their WR core as they are aging. Between him and A. Tate, it'd be great if one of them could develop into a WR1 role in the future.
