John Ross - 8 rec 141 yards 1 TD season ends on IR.

A.J. Green - 48 rec 701 yards 7 TD season shortened by injury.

Tyler Boyd - 89 rec 1072 yards 8 TD

Tee Higgins - 50 rec 603 yards 2 TD

Leaves around 600 to 800 yards for Mixon, Bernard and Tate. If they model the offense off the Rams offense TE is not really used much so those numbers will be low.

The TE group produced over 700 yards last year under the same staff.

Fwiw, the Rams had over 1,100 yards out of the position in 2019.  They were much, much lower in 2018, but they still had over 600 yards.

I think you have to budget a minimum of 500 yards to the position, or we have some serious, serious problems.

AJ Green 70 1150 8 TD

Tyler Boyd 70 789. 5 TD

John Ross 42. 756. 7 TD

Tee Higgins 23 470 5 TD

Auden Tate 20 365. 4 TD

CJ Uzomah 15. 120. 2. TD

Drew Sample 10 117. 1 TD

Joe Mixon 20. 167 2 TD

Gio Bernard 10 64 0. TD

The addition of Higgins and Green will really affect Boyds numbers
Yeah he has back to back 1,000 yd seasons
But let's be Honest. AJ Green was on the IR.
Somebody had to catch the ball and get the targets the last 2 years

I was letting my fantasy football experience influence me too much lol.

Had Tyler Higbee as a back-up TE and for the first 10 weeks his best yardage production was 47 yards. Last 5 weeks he picked up a lot just seemed like he was forgotten until they had some injury issues and Gurley started to slow down.

FWIW, Eifert was used primarily as a big receiver last year. That's how he gained a majority of his yards.
Bengals don't have a TE with Eifert's pass catching prowess on their roster right now. They have more traditional inline TEs.

My guess-timations:

AJ Green 1100 yards, 6 TDs
Tyler Boyd 1000 yards, 4 TDs
John Ross 600 yards, 5 TDs
Tee Higgins 300 yards, 2 TDs
Auden Tate 150 yards, 1 TD
CJ Uzomah 300 yards, 4 TDs
Drew Sample 100 yards, 1 TD
Joe Mixon 300 yards, 3 TDs
Gio Bernard 200 yards, 1 TD
------------------------------------------
4050 yards, 27 TDs

Rushing attack:
Mixon 1300 yards, 12 TDs
Bernard 200 yards, 3 TDs
---------------------------------------
1500 yards, 15 TDs
Zac Taylor 2019-2020: 6 total wins
Zac Taylor 2021-2022: Double-digit wins each season, plus 5 postseason wins
Zac Taylor 2023: 9 wins despite losing Burrow half the season
Zac Taylor 2024: Started 1-4. If he can turn this into a playoff appearance, it will be impressive.

Sorry for Party Rocking!

That is 35 TDs for Burrow...breaking the rookie record by 8......

AJ Green -1,000 Yards 8 TD"s
Tyler Boyd -800 Yards 5 TD's
Tee Higgins -500 Yards 5 TD's
John Ross -1,000 Yards 4 TD's
Uzomah/Sample -420 Yards 4 TD's
Mixon/Bernard -500 Yards 4 TD's
Misc (Tate/Willis/Erikson/Carter, etc.) -250 Yards 2 TD's

I'm taking injuries out of the equation because that isn't something we can predict, for that reason I'm high on Ross; so long as he is on the field I expect big things out of him.

AJ Green- 1,350 yards 12 TDs
Tyler Boyd 1,200 yards 10 TDs
Auden Tate 500 yards 5 TDs
John Ross 430 yards 5 TDs
Tee Higens 300 yards 2 TDs
Joe Mixon 250 yards 1 TD
The rest- 200 yards 2 TDs
Yards total 4,320 + TDs 37
I think Burrow will easily have the best rookie season ever. Now of course that means he has to stay healthy and so does his supporting cast.

Jessie Bates left the Bengals and that makes me sad!

Fwiw, I went and looked at what I believe is are worst year at TE. In 2009 our Tight End group consisted of J.P. Foschi and Daniel Coates.

J.P. Foschi - 260 yards
Daniel Coates - 150 yards

They combined for a total of 410 yards, in an offense where our QB only threw for 3,094 yards, and in an era where the position wasn't used nearly as much.

If we get the numbers some of you are posting for Uzomah and Sample, then they will be historically bad.

Also, Gio's career low in receiving yardage is 218, and his average is about 350. Joe Mixon's career low is 287 yards, and his average is about 290.

I think you have to budget, at they very least, 900 for the two groups. And that would be a bad year for both. An decent year would look more like 1,200. And a really good year would probably look like around 1,500.

To each their own, but I don't understand some of the numbers I've seen.( i.e. Less than 500 yards total from both groups.)

The rest = Gio Bernard + CJ Uzomah + Drew Sample + Other Receivers/Backs?

Only 200 yards??????????

Here's what I'm basing it off of Mr Wes.
The Bengals are getting 2 WRS they didn't have last year. Green and Higgins.
Now you.throw in a healthy John Ross. And  a better Tyler Boyd.

This offense needs vertical threats that can open up lanes for JM.
Uzomah hasnt really developed into a 2nd level terror.

The Bengals lead the League in 31 personal last year.
I don't expect that to change this year too much

Didn't see anyone list Burrow under Misc:

So Burrow: 35 Yds and 1 TD.  Big Grin

I'll take it.  That could make for a good season.

If Ross has a 1000 yard season, I see more than 4 TDs out of him.  If it happens, it means he's played a whole season.  When he's been on the field, he's been pretty good at getting into the end zone.  I would think it could double that number.

Yeah I was just trying to keep the overall TD count realistic because I was already over 30 TD's

4950 yards.  There will be an injury that more than likely takes the yardage from one player and shifts to another, but if Burrow is healthy all 16 games, I could see him having a season like this.  They may start games with a run-heavy look and play selection, but at some point Burrow will have to spread it out and air it out.  Using the RBs more as receivers will provide a good number of yards right there.
