David Njoku out for Thursday
#1
This has to be a big help to the Bengals as the Browns placed TE David Njoku on IR today.

Bad news: They still have Austin Hooper, who is the better of the two TE's.

And Hunt, Chubb, OBJ, and Landry.

And their RT, LG, and RG are (far) better than Cincy's.

The Browns, despite losing badly to BAL, are not going to be a cakewalk.
I expect this to be a close game and CLE still favored to win.

The Bengals need to exploit their LBs to have a chance at winning.
Zac Taylor 2019-2020: 6 total wins
Zac Taylor 2021-2022: Double-digit wins each season, plus 5 postseason wins
Zac Taylor 2023: 9 wins despite losing Burrow half the season
Zac Taylor 2024: Started 1-4. If he can turn this into a playoff appearance, it will be impressive.

Sorry for Party Rocking!

Could work in our favor. Make us go for 2 after every TD (which hopefully is more than once) which in turn gives us some practice in going for 2 when we'll really need it later in the season. Also forces us to be more aggressive and not play for the FG.

This will really be even more like a preseason game in that regard.

The Bengals need to stop Chubb/Hunt on 1st down and 2nd. If they dont then Baker will eat them alive on 3rd down play action and rollouts. Make Baker beat them on 3rd and long.
Willis is a rookie LT. No excuse why Hubbard and Lawson cant impose their will on him

Baker gets to hold the ball 3 seconds before throwing. He's either escaping well (probably) and/or his offensive line is better than ours (definitely).

Does Njoku still want to be traded? Could be benching him to avoid injury while shopping him around.

Baker is the great equalizer here as he is just awful.

Could be bad if he gets benched for Case.

Browns secondary is trash. Philips who is only starting due to injury could compete for the number 1 corner there.

It wouldn't surprise me if Baker got benched eventually, but Keenum is also in line to be like the 47th re-tread QB that team has started since their return to the league.
