Has he made mistakes...absolutely. How was Tom Brady’s debut in Tampa? Has he played well enough in both games to not lose the game for his team...absolutely. That’s all anybody can ask of him this early in his NFL career. Andy got how many years of excuses? If Andy was here now, hands down this would be the worst Bengals team he’s played on.
This was Burrow’s 1st primetime game, and he actually played quite well. You can count on one hand how many good primetime games Dalton had in 9 years. Some of these people have really gone off the deep end.

When Burrow really has a stinker of a game...and he will, he’s a rookie, these guys are really going to go over the cliff.
It’s absolutely unreal how some are expecting Burrow to perform like prime of his career Tom Brady. Especially in his first two NFL games.
To be honest...they should be excited how well he’s dealing with what should most likely be the worst of circumstances he ever has to deal with.

That was with Geno in the lineup. Right now to call them mediocre would be generous. They’ve been gashed by the run two games in a row, and the pass rush is completely nonexistent. One of our 2 sacks (through 2 games) was by a LB.

We’ve already seen it. There was a guy talking about Chase Young in JN, and how Jalen Hurts could be playing just as well as Burrow right now. Absolutely ridiculous. A lot of it is Andy Dalton has some of the most hardcore, devoted fans I’ve ever seen in any sport ever, and some of it OSU homers.
I can’t even fathom not being impressed with this kid so far.

To be fair he’s had a couple stinker plays...but there will be a game like 3 interceptions/fumbles and it’ll look really bad. But even guys like Brady and Manning in their Primes has games like that. He’s done well and given what he’s had to work with in terms of protection and a run game I actually think he’s done well.

we have seen QB's come in as first year starters or rookies and light the league on fire. Watson, Russ, Dak, Mahomes, Wentz, Kyler, Minshew. Right now we have none of that we have Alex Smith.

You’re ***** kidding me right?
Honest to God you have got to be ***** kidding me.
You put Burrow into the situation any of those players got to play in and he absolutely dominates.
The fact that you don’t understand that just goes to show you really have no idea what you are talking about.

The fact you think everyone on the roster sucks besides burrow makes you irrational.

Colts didn’t get a win until week 5...
Manning only surpassed 300 yards passing 2x that season and not until week 13.

Peyton is irrelevant he was a rookie in diffrent era. Rookies are expected to produce right away in modern NFL. Only real good QB to struggle as a rookie was Goff and the jury is still out on him.

Russel Wilson through his first 2 games had less yds and less TD’ than Joe Burrow did TONIGHT.
Watson wasn’t even the starter at the beginning of his rookie season.
Wentz had 16 TD 14 INT his rookie season. “Light the league on fire” LMAO
Dak plays behind arguably the best OL in the league. We might have the worst.
Kyler Murray barely completed over half his passes his first game (53 cmp%)
You’re really embarrassing yourself.

Plenty of our players suck. Burrow isn’t one of them.

Burrow is NOT struggling though.
You’re equating having a few missed throws a game as struggling. Ridiculous. The majority of the time he’s making the right reads, putting the ball exactly where it needs to go, reading defenses like vet honestly, and has had his team in a position to win both games he’s played in.
this is straight up clown shoes at this point...

Seriously stop. How many rookies started week 1? Tua? Herbert? That’s right, just Burrow. For the absolute worst team in the NFL last season.
NOBODY except you and other delusional Bengals fans expect NFL rookies, especially at QB to come right into a situation that landed a team the number 1 pick in the draft, with no preseason, and go in and light things up in their first 2 NFL games. Not to mention the circumstances leading up to the start of this season when there were times we didn’t know if there’d even be an NFL season. Seriously just stop.

It’s absolutely crazy...we are talking a perfectly thrown ball was dropped by Boyd....that is the difference from him putting up a 300yd+ 4td stat line with virtually no run game and terrible protection.

Cowboys were coming off a last place finish. their line wasn't dominant first season. Wentz was a bad example ill give you that 1 didnt realize his first year was that bad. Seahawks have always been a run first team part of the reason Russ has never got an MVP vote. Kyler also averaged 6.5 ypa through first 2 games. without AJ Green type of 1. arguably Boyd as a number 2 better than any receiver on Cards last season.

They played a big part in it.....but there is NO WAY you can say that the offensive line didn't limit our chances on offense. Our defense makes a goal line stand, and what do we do? Get our QB drilled in the mouth and a fumble inside the 1. Settled for FGs when we should've scored a couple times, Boyd's drop notwithstanding. I'm sure you saw the constant ticker at the bottom showing the number of dropbacks and hurries/hits/sacks. It wasn't pretty. If we could've gone down field in the passing game, our last drive likely doesn't take, what, four minutes? Five or whatever it was? We get chunk plays and score quicker, maybe the defense is irrelevant.
