After they get within 5 points and after Mayfield's pick with around 5 minutes left, Cinci. gave up 3 yards on 1st down. Had they been able to get a 3rd and long the last thing Browns wanted was to have to have Mayfield throw the ball.
I know that's a big if but not having 2-3 of your stout DL hurts this team far more than others, imo.
Completely agree, we were in a good position late in that game even with them running all over us, we still could of won.
Problem is this happens a lot with us for some reason, we play good on Defense the first week, bad the next. Bad on Offense the
first week, good on O the next. It is frustrating. Hopefully it is just cause of the lack of Preseason and it is early with lots of new
players, could be the case. Just hope it is the coaches, if it is, we need to clean house besides Simmons.

As to Mayfield, if you watch the game carefully he was under zero pressure, the "defense" kept falling for the exact same bootleg and his receivers were wide open all the time. He did not put balls in tight spaces or throw anyone open - heck the way the D played Finley could have had a career day against them. Watch Mayfield go back to his usual self the next time they play.
Chubb was 2nd in the NFL rushing last year behind Derrick Henry, severely underrated as you show here Joelist.
Hunt was the best RB in the NFL at one time when he was on the Chiefs.
Saw Mayfield make tons of good throws early, we just let him out of the pocket with that bootleg, cannot let that happen.
Definitely need to clean up this and stopping the run the next time we play, we will have the film...
