Enough has been said about him; he supposedly has serious blood clot issues and a ton of teams have taken him off their boards altogether as a result.

D.Ante Smith makes me feel a bit better about the draft, and I actually don't mind us trying to seal the deal at PK with McPherson. We had our share of PK issues and then some so I approve of the move.

Bullock's a FA

Former Bengals kicker Shayne Graham is the ST coordinator at Florida where McPherson played. Another fun connection for fans to use.

Hey! Early but if we’re spending an early 5th on a kicker they may actually be committed to this kid. Nice to see, I’ve been wanting them to give a young kicker an actual chance so we should get to see that now. He should be a good one

This kicker is supposed to be fairly accurate from long away he could win them some games. Randy always gave me a heart attack to the point I had to leave the room and get a beer.

Aw chet!  He can't tackle on ST!  BUST!!!

Nah.  In all seriousness, I wanted a Kicker at round 6, but can never be too cautious I guess.  Instant starter.

even if late 2nd round/early 3rd before our pick but what i seen by this board standards that was a bit of a reach pick.  I would also say it was a reach pick because of his injury history would have taken some teams off the board.

Jay Morrison also had an interesting stat where Bullock was pretty bad, in kicker standards, in the 4th quarter. Basically said that he didn't have the clutch gene you want in a kicker.

I mean... That would be 17th in the NFL in 2020.

No problem with the pick, but just throwing that out there.

Jessie Bates left the Bengals and that makes me sad!

Are you really using Randy as an excuse to get a beer??

Get me one more OL today and I will be happy. I want us to be able to kick MJ and Redmond to the curb with no chance of return. And to do that we need to reload the cupboard.

McPherson has an incredible leg, apparently.
The training, nutrition, medicine, fitness, playbooks and rules evolve. The athlete does not.

Better than Bullock’s 80% last year. So it’s an instant upgrade at an underrated position. For a 5th round pick I’ll take it.
