Tate could be WR 4 but not a total lock.

Mike Brown is a work for your check, so AJ and Ross had to play, one got injured so the other had to be there.  Until Tate got hurt himself, then AJ finished it.

Hard to be a red zone weapon when you get a total of 4 targets inside the 20 and zero inside the 10.

Tate only put up 40 receptions on 80 targets that year when he played 647 offensive snaps, the second-most snaps among WRs.
He did just about the same as Alex Erickson, who put up 43 receptions for 529 yards on 615 offensive snaps that year.
The difference is Erickson had added value as a returner.

50% with Andy Dalton throwing him the ball and about 50% of that 50% had to be circus catches.

63% with Burrow throwing him the ball last year.

Eh, he got 80 targets in 2019 (and still only had 1 TD). I don’t really buy lack of opportunity. Plus he’s always hurt.

I believe Dede Westbrook would be an interesting option who, last time I looked, was still a free agent.
