Consistency is the main thing that separates backup QBs from starters.  Any backup can look like a long-term answer in a short-run of games.  Anywho, if Allen sits and Shurmur comes in things should look even worse if last week was any indiction.

In practice the DBs are pulling up when a WR goes over the middle. Game reps the DBs are looking to take your head off.... it is not the same.
