On to New Jersey

Let’s get Fireman Ed hot under the collar.

The New Jersey Jets are horrible. After a big division win against the Ravens it might be easy for the Bengals to suffer a letdown against the hapless Joe Namath wannabes.

This is the sort of game Cincinnati needs to win decisively. From the opening kickoff the eventual outcome should never be in question. If the Bengals want to go deep in the playoffs this is the type of game they have to win in the regular season.

In other words the staff has to prepare for the Jets like they are preparing for the 2007 Patriots or the 2020 Buccaneers. Celebrate the win against Baltimore, get over it, and get back to work.

Agree and believe they will not let dow and get their third blowout in a row next week.

Unless something unlikely happens, the Jets will be starting Mike White at QB, a 2018 5th round pick for the Cowboys. Today, after the injury to Wilson, was the first regular-season game he ever appeared in. And we all know the challenges the Bengals historically have with first-time starters for the opposition

Yay! Welcome to my neck of the woods, although I'm off on Sundays. MetLife can be seen from my office window.

Again, we are on the same page.  So much of this game is mental and, after a game like today, it's really easy to look past the Jets.

Can't afford to do that as the new Pats even pounded the Jets today.

As 'cliche' as it may be, with the NFL it can be 'Any Given Sunday'.

After next week, every game on the Bengals schedule is a contested battle and can qualify as any given Sunday!
