Heard the asking price for this POS. 1st, he has a no trade clause, so he has to agree to the team, and he wants Miami only. As for asking price, Houston wants 3 1st round picks, their pick of any player they want off of the receiving teams roster, and a 2nd and a 3rd round draft picks. Insane.

For a player who immediately gives the receiving team a PR black eye and with a potential suspension in the future?

They won’t get close to their asking price. They’ll be lucky to get a 1st round pick. Guy might end up a half season rental. I also heard the Panthers were interested.

Oh shit. Thank god he wants to go to Miami and not Cincinnati. That sounds like a Mike Brown trade.

Its tough for a team to pull the trigger on a guy when his future is entirely up in the air.
Absent the off field stuff 3 first rounders and a player would be reasonable. But given the situation, I think Houston is going to have to take the best offer they can get or risk getting nothing.

In fairness if he didn't have the off field baggage that he has I don't think a team would hesitate to that deal for him. You're talking about a preeemial top 10 QB under the age of 27.

Well have seen teams give up more or the same basically for a draft pick and watson is proven on field.. the fact nothing has come of his case might mean it was all overblown cash grab. But until thats settle the asking price is too high.
He did drop his no trade clause for the dolphins... what dolphins player do you think the texans would want.

Nope, they were discussing it on Sirius NFL. It's insane.

I've seen trades where they want that many draft picks, but I don't believe I've ever seen the "we get to pick the player of our choosing off your roster" clause....

Dolphins would be committing malpractice by accepting this, especially given the uncertainty surrounding Watson's legal issues.
Everything in this post is my fault.

A couple of things.
#1 - Apparently all the leaks about an imminent deal were coming from the Texans to drive up the value. Miami probably stepped back because of the leaks, which means it backfired on the Texans.
#2 - Everyone here is completely under valuing DW because:
-DW will play again
-The legal stuff WILL get handled
-DW is a perennial top 10 QB......in his prime.....under a long term team friendly contract......this NEVER ever happens
-The Texans will take no less than 3 1sts and a combination of 3 MORE players/draft picks, and someone WILL pay it
---But not before the legal stuff is resolved.
For the best info. on the Texans, DO NOT listen to the national media. They do not know squat.
All Texans Stuff - https://houston.sportsmap.com/nfl/
DW Situation Last Week after Team Leak - https://houston.sportsmap.com/watson-to-dolphins-nfl-texans
DW Situation now after Team Leak - https://houston.sportsmap.com/texans-goodell-watson-exempt-list
Really if you're getting your Texans info. anywhere else, you're info. is out of date, speculative or just plain wrong.
p.s. - What's funny to me is that we've already had this ENTIRE conversation in the "Would you trade JB for DW" thread. Yes someone proposed that a few months ago.

You're wrong. They'll get their price, but not till the legal issues are resolved.
He's under a long term team friendly contract, so no rental.
Panthers info. was smoke (backfired) fabricated by the Texans.

He may still never come back simply due to the sheer number of accusations. People thought Ray Rice would make his way back into the league. Sometimes, regardless of talent, a player is simply too toxic for a team or the league to accept.

He will. You really need to understand the source and situation, that never gets discussed outside of Houston......which is why I keep telling people to stop listening to the national media because they are clueless.
Firstly, sex works posing as massage therapists is a real thing on Craig's list here. Of the accusers, it is highly likely that only 2-4 of them are real issues. Like legit therapists and not sex workers that he solicited. Most are sex workers. The lawyer representing them is a known ambulance chasing shyster. His credibility is crap. The women want money....they'll get money and it will go away. The hold up is that DW's lawyer wants all the suits under one umbrella with an NDA, so none of them can come forward again. Also only two of the 20+ plantiffs came forward to the police to make a complaint, which speaks volumes about the legitimacy of the claims.
Really you folks need to stop listening to the national media. This will eventually go away. he may not even get suspended especially if there aren't any criminal charges which there should have bene by now.

I don't personally think the issue is whether he'll be allowed to play again, or whether the legal issues will go away. It's about what it's done to his mind. There are plenty of examples of pro athletes who never came back the same after a scandal. Some overcome it, others just seem to be too affected between the ears and are never the dominant players they were before. I'd be wary of making the deal, personally, especially with that much on the line for the team picking him up. They're putting a whole lotta apples in a cart with an as-yet unknown future.

Ray Rice was spent by the time that happened, or he would've been back. Look no further than our starting RB to prove that point. They let Greg Hardy come back too, but he destroyed that. Antonio Brown is back. As far as I know, there aren't even criminal charges filed against Watson.
I'm gonna break every record they've got. I'm tellin' you right now. I don't know how I'm gonna do it, but it's goin' to get done.
