JoeyB -Fortunately, not a lot to do in Cincinnati...
#1
there is not a lot to do in Cincinnati so the players aren't going out to clubs and bars catching COVID. Well, I guess that is one way to keep players safe...

Somebody should have told Pacman that. I think this probably speaks more that JoeyB is not interested in clubbing when he could be going over game films. Priorities.

I like this quote. Whether it reflects he's joking, sharing a direct opinion, or demonstrates the team is about business it's pretty funny he made the remark.

In how many other cities in America can you walk into numerous locations and instantly be involved in a three-way for under $10? Exactly.

Burrow isn't that guy. I doubt he even drinks... Dude is as straight edge as they come. You can tell what matters most to him.. He wouldn't even come out of that Browns ass beating. Herbert the pervert woulda been on the bench..

When I had season tickets I would go to Kitty's Sports Bar after the game. However, I thought it was called something else back then. Also liked to go to Willys if I was staying the night in Covington.

S.I.Com tried to spin this as him taking a shot at the city in another article. I don't think so. Like others said, and I agree, Joey B doesn't seem like a bar guy.

If they just quote him then yeah it looks like he is taking a shot.  If they show the video of him saying it them the expression on his face makes it clear he was joking

The espn article seemed to support burrow on this by saying something like “this is a fact that hasn’t been lost on the locals”.

I’m sure his comments can be reflective of other cities too…I can’t imagine Pittsburgh having a booming night life…

he saunters in to the bar with his spongbob shoes and orders shirley temples and crabby patty appetizers for the ladys...
But I would agree wih him, I live in Los Angeles and many yrs ago I went to a Bengals /Steelers game with a friend that used to live in Cincy... not a whole lot going on there even being with someone that knew the area ....we had to go over to Kentucky (it was Octoberfest) and damn that was impressive compared to what we had in LA at the time.

It's true. Same thing with Cleveland.

Also consider that "not a lot to do" is a relative phrase. It likely means entirely different things to a 25 year old stud NFL QB versus, say, a middle-aged married guy like myself. My entertainment requirements today are vastly different from those of 30 years ago, and I'm sure the wife and I could find a lot of interesting things to do in Cincinnati before we ever made it to the casino.

Shame he didn’t live here in the 60’s. Newport was the place to go. I am 68 and it is my contention that many young Cincinnatian’s saw there first naked women on Monmouth st. Gambling was wide open and clubs stayed open all night. It was the original Sin city.

I was just about to post this when I came on here!

People say there's not a lot to do in Cincinnati and it might not have all the lights and flashiness but I've always wondered what people wanted? There's a decent bar scene downtown, in the neighborhoods around Cinci, Covington, and Newport. We have a great zoo (top ten in the country, I think?), and a casino, so I mean what else do people want?

Like I said, I guess it's just because it's not as flashy as bigger cities, but I LOVE the area!

Cincinnati is a mid sized sports city their nightlife is tied to their sports teams.
