Third Down Defense Still Needs Improvement
#1
The Ravens were 6/11 on third down conversions today; this was borderline acceptable against Baltimore but a similar third down conversion ratio will get the Bengals’ ass kicked against the Chiefs.

Tackling wasn’t the best, there was insufficient pressure on the quarterback, and coverage needs tightened up. Covering tight ends is still an issue and Travis Kelce is way better than Mark Andrews.

When it’s third and ten or third and fifteen it needs to be an automatic “out.” This upcoming game will illustrate the importance of limiting third down conversions.

4 of the 6 were literally resulting from missed tackles. Clean that up and it helps a lot.

Yes, need to tackle better. I like how we rip at the ball on D but we need to just make the tackle before they get the 1st.

If Kelce plays he will give us trouble, just need to minimize it.

That one drive where the Ravens converted 3 different 3rd and longs was infuriating.
