Burrow vs Mahomes

Let me preface this post by stating that at my intention is NOT to make the claim that Burrow is a better QB than Mahomes. Mahomes has already proven himself to be an elite QB and Burrow is showing to be on track to be an elite QB. No, I just find it interesting how similar these guys stats are for this season (so far).

Mahomes

55 carries 302 yds 2 rushing TDs

Burrow
336 comp 481 att 69.9% comp% 30 TD 14 INT 105.0 rating
35 carries 108 yds 2 rushing TDs

Two things stand out as very different though.

Rushing stats, and, although not listed, sacks.

Also stands out how many more passing attempts Mahomes has than Burrow.

Think Burrow is a much better runner now too, looks 100% finally after watching the last game.

Need to get after Mahomes and stick to Kelce and prevent the deep ball to Hill to win this game.

It can be done.

We need to start out fast on Offense though, namely need to open up some holes in the run game to take pressure off of Joe.

Yeah, but listing the sacks will then make Burrow's stats look even more impressive.

That’s how Tampa Bay did it. The Buccaneers’ defensive linemen bull rushed, stunted, and had Patrick Mahomes running for his life.

He has a better O-line now than he had then but still, we might be the best pass rushing D he has faced since then...

Same thing that has happened in games the Bengals have lost this season.
