PFF's Top 100 FAs
#1
PFF posted their top 100 expected FAs this season.
They also have projections on next contract for each player.

https://www.pff.com/news/nfl-2022-free-agent-rankings-free-agency

Note that only the following Bengals make the list:
11) Jessie Bates
74) BJ Hill
91) Riley Reiff

Uzomah and Spain do not make the list.
Zac Taylor 2019-2020: 6 total wins
Zac Taylor 2021-2022: Double-digit wins each season, plus 5 postseason wins
Zac Taylor 2023: 9 wins despite losing Burrow half the season
Zac Taylor 2024: Started 1-4. If he can turn this into a playoff appearance, it will be impressive.

Sorry for Party Rocking!

I actually expect Uzomah to garner a lot of interest. While he doesn’t have huge receiving numbers, that is more because of the type of offense the Bengals run verses lack of ability. He has shown he is a very good receiver and above average blocker. He is certainly the type of player GMs target. A player that won’t cost first tier money but still has a lot of upside.
However, I fully expect him to sign an extension with the Bengals

It's very possible that the Bengals "lowball" Uzomah because of how they use TEs, but some other team could offer him (way) more with the intention of making him more of a focal point in their offense.

If that happens, it's up to the Bengals to have a contingency plan.
And that contingency plan better not be Sample lol.

Some outside guys I'm interested in that I think are in the price range for Bengals ($10 mill APY or less):

LBs:
DeVondre Campbell
Josey Jewell

OL:
Brian Allen
Morgan Moses
Laken Tomlinson
Connor Williams
Andrew Norwell
Austin Corbett
James Daniels (although I could see him maybe being too pricey)

DBs:
Quandre Diggs

TE:
Gerald Everett
Mo Alie-Cox

Guys I like on that list:

Re-signs: (not on list) () per year contract salary

1) Huber-P (2)
2) Harris-LS (1)
3) Apple-CB (3)
4) Uzomeh-TE (5)
5) Spain-LG (7)
6) Allen-QB (1)
7) Allen- FS (1)
8) Flowers-CB (1)

Outside guys on list: (and our own)

1) Jesse Bates-FS- franchise or work out long term deal (13)

2) BJ Hill-DT- we need to bring back one of Hill/Okunjobi (8-9 projection)

3) Reiff-LT/RT- I would bring him back as a swing tackle at this point of his career (4-5 projection)

4) James Daniels-RG- he would be a huge upgrade at RG, and possible allow Carmen to move to RT. (10 projection)

5) Kyzir White-LB- he would be a nice #3/4 LB on the depth chart (4 projection)

-I think these 5 bigger contracts plus cutting Waynes 11 million would allow us to shore up some weaknesses

Uzomah is coming back no matter what.... he's just as much the heart and soul of this team as Joe Burrow IMO. As far as leadership + locker room presence.

Of course, we need to sign our own with Bates a priority. Looking around if I were GM for a day, there is one high level guy I would go after (Scherff) and one some may find strange. Could you imagine how our team would look with a 300lb. fullback who can also backup DT position? I love Ricard. The dude is a beast and great athlete. I would love to see him blocking for Mixon. I think he would be reasonable also and would hurt the Ravens to lose him.

Make no mistake, I am not thinking 2021 is coming to end, but we need to add guys to make us better, I think these 2 guys would make us much better in 2022 and I think we have the money to make it happen.

I think our future is bright, keep building great pieces around Joe and add playmakers to our defense.

I am so ready for 2024 season. I love pro football and hoping for a great Bengals year. Regardless, always remember it is a game and entertainment.
