Nothing against Sample, but we could use both Tight Ends. Tight Ends get miss matches and are differences makers in NFL. Hard to imagine in the 1990's that some teams such as Detroit didn't even carry a Tight End. I would say players like Gronk reminded teams what Tight Ends can do. Bob Trumpy on seeing teams not carrying tight ends said they are good on special teams, big, fast, blocking, Trumpy of course a Pro Bowl tight end.
I want to hear that Uzomah practiced with the team and is suiting up and able to play. Bengals need Uzomah and Sample for that extra Blocking, pass catching, hard to tackle, and tall receivers in Red Zone like a basketball player going up for the ball.
Uzomah lit up the Ravens and he can burn teams. Sample can block and make the basic tight end catches. It would be nice to have BOTH in the Super Bowl.
