I mean that is just coach speak, he is deflecting blame away from them to himself as to not throw them under the bus. He knows it is not good enough, if it was they would have won the SB.
It's easy to see the world in black and white. Grey? I don't know what to do with grey.

And you can't see beyond this? What's he suppose to say 3 days after a crippling loss? He's no idiot and did not say they were great. As a HC you better be damn careful what you say to players you may need the next year and especially when the HC, himself, did not have his finest hour in calling plays.

70 Sacks is probably a good indicator on what needs fixed...

Everyone's missing the point.  Normally nothing is said publicly.

I guess I have to make it more plain. When Mike Brown publicly states that Joe Burrow is as tough of nails and they're going to get him help, and Ian publicly stating it means there's probably going to be major changes along the o-line.

We're not talking about replacing a person here and there with players who have slightly average grades.

Sorry for link. I am away from PC. States that the Bengals would be interested in Orlando Brown. If he's available.

I'm good with a Lou extension.  I think he came up with some great game plans over the course of the year.

That's a big "if" to give an extension through 2026 for.
