So... I went to see a professional performance of the musical here Phoenix last night and I just have to say that I never realized just how progressive the show really was for its time. For example, I never realized that all of the Jets gang, including Tony, were flaming gay! Who would have thought of a thing like that back in the 50's?

Yeah... it was sort of like that on stage. And the fight/dance scenes between the Jets and the Sharks were also quite interesting, to the say the least! Apparently, some of the Sharks play for the Pink Team too.

That said, the singing and dancing were excellent. I suppose that with this particular show, you sort of have to choose between guys who look like they could possibly be in a gang and guys who are really, really good at singing and dancing (LOL).
