Burrow Recruiting Collins
(03-19-2022, 05:21 PM)phil413 Wrote: It's funny that SI picked up the Miami guy's report he left town and fans are posting these pics.

The Miami reporter pretty clearly just read the report that Collins' visit had ended and equated that (wrongly) with him leaving Cincinnati. An understandable mistake, but still a mistake.

That is good news for Miami. It is true, as far as it goes. But it does not mean what he thinks it means. Or hopes.

Meanwhile, it gets picked up & reported.

Vegas has the browns at a better change to winning SB than us. That’s not the end all be all, Bc they were wrong about the Bengals, but the Browns will be very dangerous. So will the ravens. Same for Chiefs, Chargers and Broncos.

Have we upgraded enough? I think the answer is no. Making the SB is extremely difficult. Just Bc we have Burrow and are a young team, doesn’t mean anything.

What has Watson ever really won besides his court case? Yeah, he's exciting to watch, but he eats up so much cap space, they can't put anything around him for very long, and the squads fall apart.

Generally you do a physical after the player accepts the money. So I think it's still looking decent.

He's a great fantasy qb. Not necessarily a winning NFL one.

Yes, you mentioned  early on skepticism that it was coming from a Miami guy. But I got taken in after so many other posters and even legitimate sites ran with the same story.

One thing people need to remember; the Browns will always brown.

I would agree he hasn’t won’t much. But the browns aren’t losing much talent. They upgraded Landry with Cooper. Reports are Clowney might resign.

And won’t the Bengals be in the same “cap hell” the browns will be in, after signing Higgins, chase, JB? It’s about the now. This coming year. Browns will be legit, and a SB contender.

I’m not sure if this guy is legit but he’s saying Collins signed a 4 year, $50 million contract with the Bengals. He called the Deshaun Watson trade Wednesday.

Lost starting center
Lost DE unless a Clowney comes back
Lost a ton of draft equity with 3 first round picks and a 3rd and lost a 4th and gained 5th too
Lost Landry which is like us losing Higgins
Lost TE Hooper
Lost Odell last year who was their number 1
Lost Higgins who was solid 3rd guy

So yes they lost a lot

I am so ready for 2024 season. I love pro football and hoping for a great Bengals year. Regardless, always remember it is a game and entertainment.

That doesn't make any sense.

Very exciting but want to see a recognized reporter say so before I jump for joy. Would absolutely love this though

Maybe everyone just decided to take a break and Collins used it to go shopping?

This story has more twists and turns than a Harlan Coben miniseries.
