No way they sign him for more than that.

Zac Taylor 2023: 9 wins despite losing Burrow half the season
Zac Taylor 2024: Started 1-4. If he can turn this into a playoff appearance, it will be impressive.

The Cowboys would probably never have accepted anything less than a 2nd rounder.  They would not get the same cap relief trading him.  So the only way there was going to be a trade was if they got something very high in value to offset the loss of cap space.

Collins will cost more than $10 per year.
