Bring him back.

Isn't "one bad play" how people defend Eli Apple?

I don't think anyone would be upset with any of the players if it really was just "one bad play".

& I'm not opposed to this if Duke thinks it is in the best interest of winning in '22 and beyond.

Every corner in today’s league gets burned

Every guard gets beat by Aaron Donald

You don’t just look at a couple negatives when there have been more positives

It seems he stayed. He was at Burrows house Fri night and then seen at Kenwood Mall Sat. Also it was reported he was supposed to meet with another team today but never went.

They do digging and take a look at possible character issues etc etc. and maybe he thought he was worth an insane amount of money

I dont disagree, I think this offseason punctuates the work performed the last 2 off-seasons and they deserve a break in the future as much as they deserved the scrutiny in the past.  Who Dey!

I want a stud DE. To compliment Trey. Then I think we could safely say our team is Dynamic. I could see us putting up Madden stats against the weaker NFL teams

Typically I'm not a big trade back fan. You're generally just going down lower in the talent pool. And how many picks can actually make the team ?

However, it seems we might now be in a position to trade back and pick up an extra pick and keep the cream.

I'm only a fantasy GM and concur, I don't like trading back. That said, I'll trust Duke since we've had a good FA period. I'm intrigued what he does with the pick.

He didn't play his first week back, played like 2 snaps on a thursday night game (so he essentially missed that one too).  He also missed half a game cause he punched a dude that hit Dak.

Yikes! Worse than I thought.

Okay...

1) I am THRILLED to be wrong. But remember most of us who were irritated at it were not so until Mike Garafolo (who its a real sports journalist and usually accurate) said he left town and Big Willie chimed in that structure was the issue. Obviously somewhere in their information chain they got false information. Lesson to just ignore the sports writers noted.

2) Collins cleared physical. He missed a season to hip injury but has played a lot of quality football since then. His suspension was for something not even against the rules anymore (so he can't get suspended for it again) and TBH if he got ejected for decking a defender who put a bad illegal hit on Dak that is a plus - remember when Big Whit did the same thing to an a** who cheap shotted Andy?

3) Remember we did find out that Spain was playing injured in postseason because both he and Carman were hurt. I would really like to have Spain back because most of his play here has been quality and it seals the wall so we can bring our kids (Carman, Terry Hill, D'Ante Smith) along properly.

4) SPECULATION: Might we be moving a bit away from outside zone? If you look at our new model line it gained a lot in the power department.

Total reconfiguration of our glaring weakness.

Couldn't ask for more.

I can't wait to see it on the field.

Allows us to go BPA in the draft.

Structure being the hold up and then Florio’s source describing it as a “different kind of deal” is really interesting.
