While Carter has some position versatility, it looks like the Bengals want him to first focus on being a DT before potentially swinging outside.

Think its a great pick and love Carter's theory that him against a Guard on a passing down is a mismatch.

I think Carter had 16 sacks. He's a player from the SEC. I didn't know much about him but the Cincinnati Bengals have a good record on pick picking defense lineman later in the draft

I think the Carter pick is a reach. Now we are asking him to play a position he has not played much. Smells like Carman redux.
Hill is an A. CTB is a B (Dean). Carter is a C/D.

He MIGHT start out in the middle, but I think it's likely they will decide as the preseason goes forward exactly how they're going to initially use him..

I'd guess he's going to swing back and forth from DT to DE depending on who needs spelled and the down and distance in the game.
Unless he really shines at one spot.
