Bengals @ Browns predictions
#21
Bengals 27 - 17
Zac Taylor 2019-2020: 6 total wins
Zac Taylor 2021-2022: Double-digit wins each season, plus 5 postseason wins
Zac Taylor 2023: 9 wins despite losing Burrow half the season
Zac Taylor 2024: Started 1-4. If he can turn this into a playoff appearance, it will be impressive.

Sorry for Party Rocking!

Early weather reports are for rain on Monday night. Thus, I think both teams use the run. Chubb/Hunt versus Mixon/Periman is my guess. Bengals 24 Browns 17

Unless the NFCE comes down to the final week, then Giants at Eagles will get the 8:00 slot, 'cause New Yawk > everyone else or something.

If the Bengals mix in enough runs to keep Burrow on his feet most the game, maybe even enough to make a play action fake effective we win.
The defense will do well enough.

Run the ball -
Bengals - 24
Browns - 16

Forget we can run too -

Bengals - 17
Browns - 20

I think the Browns game will make us a solid contender for the AFC Championship with KC & the Bills. This game is going to surprise a few folks. It’s our best game for the combination of the passing and run game. Bengals 35-14
Romo “ so impressed with Zac ...1 of the best in the NFL… they are just fundamentally sound. Taylor the best winning % in the Playoffs of current coaches. Joe Burrow” Zac is the best head coach in the NFL & that gives me a lot of confidence." Taylor led the Bengals to their first playoff win since 1990, ending the longest active drought in the four major North American sports, en and appeared in Super Bowl LVI, the first since 1988.

I marked this as a loss in beginning and just don;t like the matchup with prime time game, Browns on life support, a great running game and very good pass rush.

Bengals Browns games are so difficult to predict.

We've been more talented than them the last 2 seasons and yet we've gone 0-4 (granted, one was a rest game).

Zac Taylor is only 1-5 against them in his 3 years.

Chase was unable to put together much against Ward with just 49 yards, including a fumble and a pick 6 thrown Chase's way on the goal line.

Plus, they have the kind of offense that could wreck the Bengals by eating up clock and limiting the number of chances that Burrow has on the field. We may have forgiven it now because we ended up winning, but the Bengals only had 8 drives (and only 3 in the second half) against the Saints compared to their 10 because they were able to control the clock (32:14 minutes on defense) with 2 7+ minute drives in the second half. We had to score on all 3 2nd half possessions to win that game because the Bengals' first two drives were ineffective and they lost a drive in between them because of Erickson's fumble. The Saints got the ball in and out of the half and scored a field goal in each possession. The Saints won the coin toss, deferred and our slow start allowed them to control the game script.

I fear the Browns game will be similar but with the exception that the Browns running game won't crap out at the end of the game like the Saints' did (the Saints' last two drives were a 3 and out, run run pass punt style, and turnover on downs drive where Dalton was forced to throw 8 of the 9 plays)

Plus, the Browns are basically playing for their season at this point. If they fall to 2-6, they are pretty much eliminated from the playoffs. That will give them a fair amount of desperation which, depending on the team's composition, leads to either a great performance or a shit performance.

Revenge game for having our number over the years as of late. Our team is coming together as a whole.

Tufele and company help slow down Chubb and Burrow has another good game.

I'm adding on Friday THAT CHASE INJURY IS NO EXCUSE TO LOSE

Bengals are 1-7 vs Browns lately and 0-2 in AFC North. IF Bengals fall to 1-8 vs Browns and 0-3 in AFC North, THERE ARE NO EXCUSES

JUST WIN BABY.....GO BENGALS

With Chase out …. hard to be as confident on a win as this also might adversely affect some of the team’s overall focus after losing one of their best players.

28-23 Stains …. dang it

If the shoe were on the other foot and the Browns lost Chubb, the Bengals would find a way to lose. Seeing as the Browns are far more dysfunctional they will find a way to lose.

Rainy, chilly northern Ohio fall football! Expect an ugly AFC North smash mouth style game at the mistake by the lake. Bengals escape with the win, 20 - 17.
