It was really close to a backward pass if not one. He was getting it out of bounds just in case. Shitty year for him overall but that was not a bad move.

Yea... this 4 to 6 week stretch will have a lot to do with whether he's considered a #1 receiver in free agency/ extension talks. 

If he can't produce down the field without Chase on the other side of the field, his value goes down substantially.
