I can't say I saw all that was said in the GD thread. But I don't think it's toxic. Emotions run high during the game and people have high expectations for this team as we all should. I just think when people call the defense trash because they let the KANSAS CITY CHIEFS score points. One of the top teams in the entire league that you just have to realize it's ridiculous and really just stems from how much they love the Bengals.

We had the lead and people were saying we'd lose. I saw people calling for Lou to be fired.
That said...for decades we'd see the Bengals fold when they lost a lead. Then, getting stopped on that 4th and 1. The Boyd missed TD.
But, they fought back with the Pratt strip.
Burrow changes the team. The players believe they can win. Fans need to recalibrate to that new reality.

I think some of the thing with platforms is how fast they respond or don't respond to complaints. Because at the end of the day, users control the content and some will violate rules, etc.
It's always a fine line because people want privacy, but they also want to be protected and not have certain types of content. It's somewhat a tradeoff. They could likely use AI to block and report.
I couldn't even imagine how many complaints some of these platforms receive a day.
Generalities above. I don't know specifics about Discord. But, I think all of these platforms face challenges...as does society as a whole.
