Great win but now we have a team that Burrow has never beat, let's go and beat the Browns with a loss by Ravens puts us in 1st place

Yes it’s time to end the bizarre losing streak to them.

Yes, this was a great win today over Chiefs.   However if Bengals get swept by Browns again, Bengals will fall to 1-4 in the AFC North.  Of course if Bengals win they will climb to 2-3 in the AFC North and 9-4 on the season.  I will be more happy about our Bengals 4 game winning streak if they beat The Browns and make it a 5 game winning streak.

Last year Browns swept Bengals, but Bengals went 4-2 in AFC North.   This year a Browns sweep puts Bengals 1-4 in the AFC North.  So GO BENGALS.

You are not wrong for quickly mentioning the Browns game next week.  The difference between 1-4 and 2-3 is huge, and Browns have indeed taken Bengals to the wood shed last 4 or 5 years for a spanking.   Bengals must avoid being swept by The Browns again.

I wish it would have been Watson 1st game.. he was able to shake some rust off after an almost 2 year absence.. we are playing great, would be a major setback to loss this game...

I agree, those who think Browns stink need to watch the games we have played against them the past couple of years. The Browns do have good defense, one of the better DL and OL's in the NFL.

This will be a great test for us in the trenches. We won yesterday's battle in the trenches, but this Cleveland team is far better in both areas so it will be a huge test.

2024 may go on record as one of most underperforming teams in Bengal history. Bengal's FO has major work to do on defensive side of the ball. I say tag and trade Tee Higgins in 2025 to start with the rebuild.

The good news is that with Watson still playing the rust off, if we can stop or slow their running game (which we didn't last time, I know), we should win this game fairly easily.

We will have some things going for us compared to last game. Healthy Chase, Healthy Reader, at home, and playing better ball than we were at that time. We will see. Just need to get out to an early lead so it takes their run game away.

Hopefully we get the Watson I saw yesterday.  After that he can start playing well.

I get that if we split and are tied with Baltimore at the end of the season our record in the division could come into play but if we have the better overall record none of that matters, so I don't understand the concern to the point some make it. We could lose to Cleveland and Baltimore lose to Pittsburgh but as long as we beat Baltimore coming up and don't drop anymore games we take the division.

It really sucks that the Ravens get to play 4 teams with losing records prior to playing the Bengals the final week.
Maybe the Browns and/or the Steelers (x2) will surprise with a win over the Ravens.
Although if the Bengals continue to win, hopefully it's just the Falcons that get a win against the Ravens because f**k the Browns and Steelers lol.
Zac Taylor 2019-2020: 6 total wins
Zac Taylor 2021-2022: Double-digit wins each season, plus 5 postseason wins
Zac Taylor 2023: 9 wins despite losing Burrow half the season
Zac Taylor 2024: Started 1-4. If he can turn this into a playoff appearance, it will be impressive.

Sometimes teams play looser when they're out of contention and win games the "experts" say they shouldn't. Of course sometimes they put in players to see if they're worth keeping next year as well and get blown out.

but why try to sneak in the back door of the play-offs with an awful 1-5 record in the AFC North.   and why act as if Cleveland is some powerhouse team that nobody can beat.  Cleveland keeps having losing records.  It seems the only team that treats Cleveland as a powerhouse team is Cincinnati.  and if Bengals can beat Mahomes, what is the big deal about Watson ?

The AFC North record does matter.  Bengals will not go to play-offs with a 1-5 record in their own division, and really they shouldn't make play-offs if they stink that bad in AFC North.   So go out and beat Cleveland and climb to 2-3 in the AFC North with a chance to go 3-3 against Baltimore.  There should also be a matter of pride to the players on this.  Why would they want to stink and go 1-5 in the AFC North ?

This thing that the Bengals can lose to Cleveland twice and still sneak into the play-offs, that stinks.  The only team getting clobbered every year by Cleveland is Cincinnati.  This Sunday Bengals need to end the domination Cleveland has had over Cincinnati the last 4 or 5 seasons.  Watson talk is just more excuses.  If Bengals can beat Chiefs 3 times in last 12 months, there is no reason to get swept by Browns who are not as good as the Chiefs.

Get to 2-3 in AFC North and 9-4 on season, and don't sneak and crawl to play-offs.  kick the door in.  Let it be known the AFC Champion Bengals are ready for another Super Bowl run.  Do not get swept again by this losing record team in Cleveland.  Right now there are team playing great ball such as 49ers and Cowboys, but Bengals are playing great ball also, but not if they get swept by Cleveland.

And the Bengals have a short week before the Ravens game, since the Bengals have a Monday Night football game. And not just any Monday Night Football game, but one against the Bills. The schedule makers didn't do the Bengals any favors.

Why couldn't the Bengals still make the playoffs with a 1-5 record in the AFCN?

Why do you think it's sneaking into the playoffs?  You win more games than the other guys and you go.  There is no rule as to who you beat.  I'm pretty sure one time maybe in the 80s the Bengals were undefeated in the division and didn't go to the playoffs. Can't swear to it though.

Kind of scary. We don’t have a lot of tape on Watson. We don’t do to well with backups QB or QB we don’t have tape in. I think it was White last year we made him look like a HOF QB.

Watson has 4 seasons worth of tape out there. Maybe not in the Browns system, but every team runs the same stuff. It’s just different terminology and schemes.

We beat Watson with Brandon Allen the last time we played him.

The Browns helped the Bengals regain their focus and expect the Bengals will play much better in this one.

The Browns dominated the trenches last time, but Reader being back will help and Burrow is now throwing much quicker as well which will also help.

Time to get this monkey off our back.
