Probably the first warning that Hurst would probably not play this weekend is that "he's prepping to play Sunday," when the game is Saturday.

Yeah, he probably could have played judging by how he said he felt, but they’re being extra cautious. Especially now that they’ve already clinched a playoff spot.

Perhaps it’s because he’s not the doctor on these particular cases with access to their case details? Or maybe he’s competent, brilliant even, but a bit of a blowhard. Either way he(and other experts) are speculating, and we can be forgiven for having a bit of skepticism in these cases.
