Defense has made the Bills offense fight for every yard. Both scoring drives were over 7 minutes. They don’t have time to get back in this one without serious self-destruction on the Bengals part.

Because it wouldn't be a first down. It's not 5 yards on that penalty it's half the distance and they needed to get into the end zone.

Agree, Mixon has been running like a beast.  Assume Joe pulled the ball on 1st down and to be fair the throw to Hurst was wide open.
