Bengals really haven't done much with their entire agency. Perine might be the only one that they have signed from Athletes First that isn't a rookie deal.

Now that they made this big fuss/point about not giving 3rd contracts, they can't sign Perine either...

He seemed like a shell of himself last year. Will be interesting to see what he can do in NY.

Yea its a couple years removed from Gruden and injuries were starting to wear on him. Will be interesting if he can get healthy this off-season because he is a great fit for the Giants heavy 12 personnel offense. I wouldn't have wanted him in Cincy at his age and price tag though. The Giants have to make gambles for player makers this season the Bengals don't.

Their weapon situation is still so rough that, yea they have to take some chances.

In my opinion, the best that the Bengals can do right now is put CTB at FS and have Dax develop in SS, and invest in the CB position either in FA or the Draft or both.
I just now tracked down the comment you referenced where Lou Anarumo said it would be a "dark day" if the Bengals lost both starting safeties. I live in northeaster Pennsylvania, so I sometimes miss news on the Bengals. And until yesterday, it sounded like something that would be quite unlikely. At any rate, the comment was quite informative:
"Anarumo had been asked at the NFL Combine how difficult it would be to have replace both his starting safeties at the same time, and he said he did not want to think about that 'dark day.'
"'It would be huge,' Anarumo said two weeks ago. 'You’d lose leadership too. You know, Vonn and Jessie, they do a lot of things that people don’t see. They organize meetings on their own. So, yeah, I’d rather not think about that dark day.'

Linebackers are still going Kyzir White to the Cardinal 2y/11m. Eagles lost both starting Linebackers that's tough its not a great linebacker draft class.

Surprised Poyer had that high of a PFF grade as he was injured for quite a bit and didn't look right.
Give me anyone of those Safeties and I am happy. I like all of them except maybe Johnson, nice list.

JD McKissis was released by the Commanders and could definitely be the 3rd down back option we have been looking for.

Would welcome Mckissick. Also, has Murphy-Bunting the Corner from the Bucs been picked up yet? I like that guy if Apple leaves.

Murphy-Bunting is still a FA I read where the Vikings are interested.
