Irv Smith Starting Tight End
#21
He technically is the starting TE. The Bengals tried to draft a TE last year, but they missed out. I expect them to draft someone this year to be TE 2, potentially TE 1.

Not sure why everyone thinks Sample is incapable of being te2 and that a rookie TE will play more.

While Sample isn't great, he can block and catch short passes.

Rookie TEs usually suck at blocking.

So who thinks this is writ and who thinks it's intended as smokescreen?  maybe a little of both?

Of course Irv is #1. We are extremely think at TE even with his addition. I sure wouldn't put Sample or Asiasi over him.

We will add at least 1 TE in the Draft that is talented and can still bring back Wilcox who I like better than both Sample and Asiasi.
