Especially after all the love Tycen got from Zac. This isn’t to just give Tycen competition. We want to start Dax and Battle. Ngl im afraid to start 2 guys so young. I become less afraid when i realize that Lou will have these guys ready but seeing us dedicate 2 high picks to replace Bates and Bell does feel good.

Safety is an undervalued position until it’s your safety being burned for a long TD so this is a pick i cannot hate

I think this kid will be a prototypical SS that is designed to play in the AFC North.  He started out with the Ohio State Buckeyes and transferred to 'Bama.  I'm telling you I've watched this kid since his training camp at Ohio State and he's really an undersized LB that hits like he weights 50lbs more than he does.

This kid is another Jack Tatum or David Futcher and will fit perfectly into winning the AFC North as a head-cracking Strong Safety.

That’s not my problem but they were looking at Anton Harrison hard and haven’t drafted one yet so things could have changed. But Williams wants out and they will acquiesce
Romo “ so impressed with Zac ...1 of the best in the NFL… they are just fundamentally sound. Taylor the best winning % in the Playoffs of current coaches. Joe Burrow” Zac is the best head coach in the NFL & that gives me a lot of confidence." Taylor led the Bengals to their first playoff win since 1990, ending the longest active drought in the four major North American sports, en and appeared in Super Bowl LVI, the first since 1988.

Obviously need good depth there, too. I trust the FO far less at scouting that position though. Rather just keep addressing the OL in FA.

Mostly due to broad/high jump scores that were low, very poor explosion. Poor agility (cone/shuttle). Height/weight good. Speed was great (8-9 range) in 40, 20, and 10. For a FS/CF type, I can live with that.

40 time (4.55), 20 (2.62), 10 (1.55).

Yea he was much better near the line of scrimmage in 2021 than at free safety in 2022.

As a Washington stan, there is no way we got cute here and Pitt outfoxed us. We had no interest in taking Washington. Neither did 31 other teams who had 3 shots at him.

Hey, could have the upgrade to Vonn Bell here, always thought Dax Hill would be the upgrade to Jessie Bates.

I like good tacklers at Safety with speed, Battle is definitely bigger and faster than Bell and Dax is faster and a better tackler than Bates.

I think they will struggle a bit early on and if Battle isn't quite ready Scott is the great insurance who is tested.

They’re already well clear of Sims and Phillips territory. Not even in the same continent.

If you’re gonna stack depth, stack it at OL. Do you not recall the situation comedy we’ve had on the OL the last few years. Should have taken a TE. We’re one injury away from a really injury prone player to having Drew Sample as the starting TE. That’s bad roster management. Could use more LB depth. Take one DB if you feel it’s a must.

I don’t like letting KC leapfrog us, then sit idly by when the damn steelers did what everyone suspected they might, and steal the best legitimate TE on the board.

I don’t like what they did today. The franchise isn’t doomed, but they had a chance to do some really good things tonight and they didn’t.

So, basically, stacking depth is fine as they do it at the position you want them to despite the fact that this is a good CB draft and a terrible OT draft?

wow you are obsessed with Jonah leaving. He's going to stay and play if cincy doesnt trade him. It makes no sense for him to sit out. It costs him a ton of money

please use your brain

Doubtful. He’s their best option at RT.

The drafts not over. Gotta stick to BPA like the bengals did if you want a good draft. The days of reaching for perceived need are over. You don’t draft an olineman or tight end just to draft one. Come on, man! Plenty of options available yet. And the bengals don’t need a tight end. It’s not a position we utilize much. Did I mention how hit or miss tight ends are in the draft and how slow they are to develop?

Sad to say, hope it is so a touch, just better have some insurance at RB if we do that can pass block and has balance.

Yah know, do the things that Joe don't do well so we can cut him. Mellow

sure, but first, you tell me 2 things.

1. How many of our Season OL Starters started in that game we almost won?
2. How many OL did we add/sign during this recent FA period to try and build better depth and we actually improved one spot?

Rep. This isn’t rocket science. You draft the best player. Period.
