Do we not think the offense needs to be better? ESPECIALLY in the playoffs.
As great as our offense can be, Our defense has been by far our most consistent and often better side of the ball the last 2 years.
I was real skeptical of our safeties heading into this season. Dax is an unknown and I think Scott is to for that matter. Battle just increases the odds of that group working out so I'm good with that pick. On offense I agree we need to be better. I think that all has to do with the line. Hopefully we can still get addition to that group on day 3. I think RB would be the other position I'm most worried about on offense because Perine gave us a lot of snaps. TE and WR I think will be just fine with additions on day 3 and after if the protection is good.

why are you mad with a Vonn Bell clone? Box safeties arent the cover guys
Scott should be a backup.

I think DJ Turner is our slot guy of the future.

Meant he’s not gonna refuse to play just cause he can’t play LT.

Yep, why fix what ain't broke while Mike be here? But he won't be here forever and we are planning for it with the Turner, Battle
and the Dax Hill and Tycen Anderson additions the year before. Plus Lou likes Zone players in his Secondary more than Man.

He can’t like that pick. This kid could very well make him obsolete.
One of those safeties are gonna get shit on playtime wise

What a luxury that we can use such high picks on future replacements

Such is the state of our roster. These arent the 90s anymore.

Turner could cover from all 3 spots but I trust him more as a run defender on the boundary than I would on 1st down in the slot. Mike Hilton's elite run defense and blitzing is what makes him a special slot corner... He's only above average as a cover guy.

Yep, this kind of depth is what makes us a SB contender now a days and not that old hopeful team of the 90's.
Dax Hill, CTB, DJ Turner can all play multiple positions in the Secondary. Masterful.

I don't know, why don't you call Zac and ask him, that way we don't have to see the same damn post from you on every page of this thread? It isn't also a MAJOR need to get a RB.....

I'm talking after Hilton is gone and Turner gets some experience. But I agree Turner can move all over if need be.

Yeah, and a lot of that is just because Mike is so short. Unfair when you get a 6'5" TE or a 6'4" WR going above him and he still competes.
Love Mike Hilton, always will, special tackler, special blitzer, special dude in the Slot.

This has to be one of the fastest secondaries in the league.

Lou back, kept Pratt, stocked up on defense including a 1st round pass rusher (1st time since Justin Smith I believe). The sky might not be falling after all despite Bates and Bell leaving.

I just wish the Bengals had gotten a top 100 prospect that could have made more of an impact in year one.
