I really really wanted Whyle to be a Bengal.

Well, we basically lost the super bowl on a dropped pass (Tyler Boyd's, unfortunately), so I get it haha.

That may have been why we had no interest in Washington too. He had 5 drops on just 45 receptions.

Mayer had 12 on 180, Kincaid had 4 on 175, Musgrave 9 on 47 (Jesus Christ... no wonder we didn't even talk to him), Kraft 12 on 99, LePorta 14 on 153, Schoonmaker 3 on 54, Strange 5 on 70...

If we project this out, we may be looking at either Davis Allen, 3 drops on 88 receptions, Zach Kuntz, 5 drops on 88 receptions, or Josh Whyle, 6 drops on 88 receptions (weird that these three all have 88 career receptions haha).

Payne Durham also had 8 on 126 which is right in line with that ~6% drop rate that Whyle had.

Maybe Will Mallory is out, with 15 drops on 115 receptions.

At this point I would guess we’ll draft Davis Allen. We seem to like Clemson Tigers

Romo “ so impressed with Zac ...1 of the best in the NFL… they are just fundamentally sound. Taylor the best winning % in the Playoffs of current coaches. Joe Burrow” Zac is the best head coach in the NFL & that gives me a lot of confidence." Taylor led the Bengals to their first playoff win since 1990, ending the longest active drought in the four major North American sports, en and appeared in Super Bowl LVI, the first since 1988.

Neither will technically start. But they probably get 30-40% of the snaps

NFL Network just wasted 20 minutes tongue bathing the Rats. Nowhere was the issue with Jackson mentioned (that when you stay disciplined and mush rush him he is ineffective).

I'm thinking the kid from Wake Forest Blake Whiteheart with one of their two 6ths.

Hopefully 3 of the remaining picks are RB, TE and Punter

They have 4 picks. They picked up the last pick of the 6th round when the moved back for Jordan Battle.

Super low drop percentage (3 drops in 88 receptions) leads me to believe we would be interested in him.

That's my guy. The 'human vacuum' would be a great fit in this offense.

oh hell no, no Scott then. I wish the hightlight vids also showed their low-light plays.

It's kinda how I pick a gf, not how great they are, but how bad they are. I usually keep them waiting 15 min on the 2nd date and 3rd date.. Wink

Detroit takes the OT from William & Mary. I'm pretty sure we met with him recently.

Thats very bad for Mallory.  I didnt realize he dropped that many passes.  You cant have that.   Kuntz might be a better option

But he runs a 4.84 40.  That is slow as molasses

In his defense, he improved on it each year. In 2019, his first year starting, he had 6 drops on just 18 receptions, which is insane. He also had a drop in 2018 on just 5 receptions. In 2020 he had 2 on 22 receptions. He regressed in 2021 with 4 drops on 30 receptions, but had his best season in drop percentage in 2022 with just 2 drops on 43 receptions.

I guess it depends on if his body of work is considered or just his final season.

Have you watched him? He's really good at positioning, has a big catch radius, can climb the ladder and catches everything thrown his way.

True, remember someone we drafted #1 and was dropping everything in pre-season, sure it was just pre-season, but that was a scary thought. Then everything changed fortunately, this guy may end up the same.

Is Kuntz still on the board? I missed the last round

I would tend to look at his later seasons.  The 6 in 18 his first year starting would skew his overall numbers.  Thanks for posting that.  I would feel ok with taking him.

If Mallory is there or Kuntz is there I would take either one of them.  Both are in that 4.5 40 range which is really good for a TE.  I think both could help the offense
