You might see people giving him love in this thread, but during every day activity on these boards, it's pretty rare.

The big argument was Claiborne, Kirkpatrick or Jenkins. And everyone was basically mad we ended with Dre.
But I will take Dre's averageness over Claiborne's consistent terribleness or Jenkins' mostly terrible but get lucky with a few splash plays.

Rey Maualuga. Guy has been much better this year and has helped solidify a good front. Not the best linebacker, but certainly recognizes plays and continues to lay the wood. Also hasn't given up as many big plays as some would think when they hear his name. He's been extremely underrated this season.

I think our starting safeties are really, really underrated...maybe by bengals fans and definitely nationally
With all the talk about needing plenty of specialism with D Line rotations, extra CB's for nickel/dime packages, Pass covering LB's as well as run stuffers....Iloka and Nelson are always on the field and making solid contributions.
Basically for the past 3 years we've had a 5th rounder and a guy we picked up in a trade with a practice squad CB hold it down for us whilst we've consistently had good defenses going to the playoffs.
I think we should thank our lucky stars for them as they rarely miss games and have thus far allowed us to invest high draft picks elsewhere in the team.

Any discussion of hat tipping has to include our long snapper, Clark Harris. In his seven years as a Bengal, he has never missed a game and with nearly 1000 career snaps, he has never made an unplayable snap. He snaps with passion and his snaps are a thing of beauty. He is not afraid to get dirty, averaging over two special team tackles a year. He is a team first player, a great ball handler with a good locker room presence, and one of the few players in the league that can successfully wear a man bun.

This sparked my curiosity so I went and looked at some of your posts in the gameday thread.

Yea, I cannot imagine why you got such a negative response from the people who were "crucifying" you.

one thing about Dre.... is he seems to shine in the bright lights.... for the most part at least cant wait to see him come playoffs

Leon Hall man, this dude made tons of great plays against the Rams. Covered well, tackled great and got his 3rd TD
of his career. I thought he might be starting to fall off but i don't know about that now, we will see but i just loved the
play from #29 on Sunday.

Everyone took all the good options but I'll go with Peko. Probably because of how well Geno is playing but Peko has had a better year this year than last.

Yep. Clarke was not even active.
Hunt was also playing on kick coverage team. Gave him a chance to use that top speed.

One other thing about Dre that doesn't always show on the stat sheet - he seems to have a knack at catching people from behind for tackles. Every time a running back starts to break one, Dre seems to get an angle and track him down. Turns the plays where the D gets best into into 20 yard gains rather than touchdowns. A big reason this D doesn't break.
