***Week 1 GameDay Thread - Bengals @ Browns***

Playoffs? Did you see this team? They only way they’re getting to the playoffs is buying tickets to watch.

You must have missed all those missed tackles and bad angles.

Someone in the press conference needs to ask Burrow that “SB window” question again. It sure looked locked shut today…

2.6 yards per play on offense.

Yards per rush? 3.8 (Mixon 4.3, Evans 6.0, Williams 3.5).

Let that sink in. We lost 1.2 yards per play because of the passing game.

What have we been working on in the offseason?

We typically struggle with the Browns.

Burrow didn't look healthy.

Joe’s contract extension.

That window just slammed so hard glass shards are still flying.

No one in this team looks like they give a shit about this game.

It was a bad start and ugly to be fair. But Burrow is and will still be one of the top QBs in the league.  Anyway here is the difference, it is a $275,000,000 contract including $219,010,000 guaranteed.  Kind of a big difference.

This game really showed how it’s not wise to set up your offense where it’s 100% reliant on the pass. Burrow coming off of injury/being incredibly rusty and the rain is prime time to go heavy and run. Unfortunately there was no running game to speak of and when we did run it was out of a shotgun 4 wide set. It plays to no one’s strengths and just makes thing harder on ourselves

Burrow was working on his metrosexual haircut and wardrobe. Lac was watching The Jetsons.

No need to be jealous of the athletes when we can be jealous of the Brown family who make a li of money by virtue of birth alone.

Too much focus on contracts prior to the season and not enough focus on being prepared for opening week.

Easily in the top top five of worst performances that I've seen in 50 years of following Bengals football.

Also, I put Zac in the same category as David Bell. below average in-game manager. David seems like a decent chap but not very good at baseball. Zac seems like a nice guy but not very good at football.

No, it’s not, especially when you know damn well the point I was making doesn’t change.

Well...we couldn't run or pass. Our line should be better at run blocking.

Gotta beat the Ravens. A loss to them...really bad.

No part of the team played well today.

They held the Browns to 4-14 on third down, with two takeways, 3 sacks.  Held them to 4.9 yards per play while on the filed for 72 snaps over 35+ minutes.

Yes, they played well today.  The defense is not close to a problem.

Hopefully they cut the game off for majority of the states that were covering it. There was a significant audience watching and witnessing this disaster. Social media is abuzz at what was witnessed.

The coaching staff starts slow...seasons, games. Then, they adjust...usually.

The variable is if Joe is still injured.

Sorry but there is a big difference between 260 million guaranteed and 219 million guaranteed.
