How'd You Do In Your Leagues?
#1
In the three leagues with my friends, which are the leagues that matter, I lost in the first round in one and lost in the finals in two.

The one with my best friends, which is the only one that matters, I was playing The Goat (he has six titles and the next highest is two) in the finals and I lost by .5!

With a few minutes til kickoff, I took out Jayden Reed and started Shaheed, which I don't know why because my whole reason for starting Reed was because the Packers were so thin at receiver that he'd get a lot of targets and production, which he did.

How'd you do?

It said I had a good draft in Bengals League, but my # 2 pick Tee Higgins and my QB around pick 3 in Joe Burrow had awful fantasy seasons. Also I had more points scored against me than any other team, even though my team was still putting up good points. Bad luck in that one.

I won a CBS League this week and looks like I will win an ESPN league next week. So I had Luck in those.....It really comes down to Luck.

I play for no money, I win no money, but I lose no money....I'm in 1st on my ESPN NBA leagues. Looking forward to who I draft in baseball in March. I do head to head points, because I tried Roto and never did understand how they added up the points.

I like Bengal Board Leagues best, going up against same people each year. I do good in baseball, but have been unlucky in football. My top picks always get injured most of season. In the draft Tyreek Hill and Tee Higgins looked like good 2 picks to start with, but Higgins injuries and Burrow injuries hurt. I had Watson as a back-up QB for Burrow, but Watson went down also, so I even lost my ace in the hole to injuries,

I did that in '08(?) when Carson got hurt and still won because I had Rivers and he went off.

I think I had Carson, Chad, Benson, Chad, and the D. Maybe Reggie Kelly too. I thought we'd dominate that year, so I bought four tickets to every game and ended up not being able to give them away lol.

If there's no money, there's no real reason to pay attention, IMCO.

Glory, but the money adds to the glory in our league.

That's OK if you have money to lose.  Which is the old gamblers advise, don't bet the rent money. If you have money to lose, then gamble, because odds are you are going to lose. I follow the Nipsey Russell poem : " For those of you that gamble, I have this advice to say.  The best way to double your money, is to fold it and put it away. "

I tried the new Ohio sports gambling 2 NFL weeks last year and first week this year.  I lost 35 dollars in week one.  I did the math on if I lost that much 18 weeks in a row, and I could think of better ways to spend my money.  Plus I didn't think the Hollywood Casino I was driving to was all that fun, more of a drag. I refuse to do money transactions on internet sites due to crooks around the world who do nothing but identity theft for a living.

I do enjoy Fantasy Sports for no money, and I do have reason to pay attention.  Not everything has to be about gambling for money.  For me at 69 years old on a fixed income, it keeps me up on Who is Who in todays sports, as opposed to old timers talking about players from 50 years ago. Fantasy keeps me up on the hottest players of the month in baseball basketball, football.  I don't like losing money, and people who hate losing money like me should not gamble.  Another old timers saying, " Save your money and buy ice cream ".

I see old people my age who gamble, but if they lose they are broke all month.  Me, I'm never broke or waiting for 1st of month because I save my money.  You probably aren't old and have no idea what I'm talking about, but I like having thousands tucked away, but I wouldn't have them if I became a gambler.

Made You Cry just won Bengals Board NFL Championship. There was no money prize. Still, those of us that played think winning the season is pretty good, and we all very much paid attention each week.

I respect all of that.

Just to be clear, I don't have a lot of spare money to bet away (I get disability), but I do have a little spending cash that I win in poker.

Ever since I retired from FF as the Bengal Board League Champion a couple years ago, my fantasy football seasons have been stress free.  Cool

I did Excellent this year.

I won a fantasy football league Championship worth $1,000.00
I won a NFL pick em league by 4 points worth $1,000.00

And came in 7th place where the top 5 received money.

So $2,000.00 is not too shabby. Cool

But how much did you spend or did you do leagues with friends where you pay after?

Either way, CONGRATS!
