Zac Taylor in the playoffs=5-2

Rest of AFCN in the playoffs since '13=7-15

Nah, I'm good on that tough AFCN football.

Very strange against one of the poorest run-defenses in the league and given the Ravens top-ranked run offense.  And the three RB carries in the first half were quite successful. Just a total meltdown by the  Raven's offense which was so explosive all year. I think that falls on the OC. They can't fire him, I would imagine, because of such a good regular season, but he seemed to have gotten too smart for himself on the big stage, especially when it was clear Lamar was not having a good game.

Well it also could be possible that the KC Def. changed their looks from what's on tape, brought up run DEF looks, that were actually coverages.  It's possible if not absolutely likely that KC changed up their schemes and looks for this one game and had bone head Lamar checking out of runs all day to passes, that then were actually coverages.  And in the end either Lamar or the OC couldn't adjust.

It's possible that the Ravens got out coached before the first snap and then never adjusted.

.

That is 2 straight Playoff losses where a Raven was about to score a TD in the 4th quarter of a Playoff game only

to have the ball knocked out of their hands a split second before they score.

The Sam Hubbard 98 yard return TD off of the Tyler Huntley fumble right at the Goal line

The Zay Flowers fumble just before crossing the Goal line versus the Chiefs

....and that has fared better in the postseason than any other AFCN team since 2012. Without looking it up, I think this Ravens team is the best besides Cincinnati since then. This division's brand of football is simply outdated. The Bengals saw it, too bad the rest of the division hasn't. Unfortunately, Cincinnati gets dominated up front in this division, and without a healthy Joey Franchise, they struggle to get out in front and play with a lead.

Since '12, the Steelers are 3-7, the Browns 1-2, and the Ravens are 7-6(though this includes their '12 SB run).  In the last decade, the Ravens are 3-6 and the Steelers and Browns numbers remain unchanged.

With the amount of folks wanting to return to traditional AFCN style football, I would think that Marvin would have had a much longer leash.  After all, that style is great for going one and done.

Exactly!!!! Sucks that the Bengals are ahead of the division in that regard.

This Ravens team was their big chance, they had it all !! And they folded like a pup tent under the bright lights.

Clearly not what I was talking about. The Bell hit was a completely legal play. I was referring to the Ravens playing undisciplined and taking stupid penalties. They looked like a bunch of thugs, and that should not be celebrated as “hard nosed football.” That shit doesn’t fly in 2024. Hell, not even the Steelers are getting away with it anymore.

Didn't watch a second of the first game, as I couldn't bear it and I played Ryu ga Gotoku 8 instead: made a correct choice!

Also Wink:

I just don't care. Nothing in me can bring myself to want SF to win. That doesn't mean I am in love with KC, far from it, but they didn't suck the life out of us in the super bowl twice..

Except my thinking is let SF suck the life out of another team in the Super Bowl, after doing it to the Bengals twice. Not liking either choice, but this is my story and I'm sticking with it.

And maybe with Tony Romo being one of the announcers, and his endless gushing over Mahomes, it might be nice to have Mr. Irrelevant come out the victor over Mahomes. And maybe watch Mahomes repeat his screaming, have-to-be-held back tantrum at the refs.

I remember thinking when Mahomes started crying that there was no way they don't make the Super Bowl. Kinda like when Brady would cry or Belicheat crying & 2 seconds later the refs help them.

But don't you want Burrow to be the only active QB in the league to beat Mahomes and MaAuto??? Mellow

And so it begins: Sportsbooks now offering special props for the Super Bowl involving Taylor Swift.

"TheScore Bet -- Penn Entertainment's Canadian online betting brand -- is offering a prop on the predominant color of Swift's top at opening kickoff, notably excluding any jacket she might be wearing; red is, of course, the favorite at -300, with white (+250), black (+1000), yellow (+3000) and any other color (+2400) filling in the field."

"Nevada-based operator STN Sports is offering a "Tight End vs. Pop Star" prop that asks whether Kelce will have more receptions in the game than Swift's 10 platinum albums (11 or more receptions +450, exactly 10 receptions +320, nine or fewer receptions -260)."

"ESPN BET has an entire section dedicated to Kelce-themed props appropriately titled "Swelce Specials."

And, of course, a prop that Kelce will propose to Swift on the field after the game.

There needs to be an over/under on how many times Taylor Swift will be shown on TV during the game.
