Like they said, a Reader replacement.

Bengals fans should not be surprised if they draft another NT on Day 3.
Still got my hopes up for Jordan Jefferson

Glad we double-dipped at DT (say that 5 times fast).
Would love Will Shipley in the 4th. Dude can be Brian Leonard with more speed and power.

How? Doesn't look like Chase is getting a signing bonus this season, besides the signing bonus will be prorated over 5 years. The signing bonus has to do way more with cash instead of cap. Makes no sense to cut a solid DT for that little bit.

I like double dipping high at DT
Rankins, Jenkins, BJ and this kid is a good rotation. Got 2 pass rush guys and 2 run stop guys with potential to become pass rush guys

I might like the Estime kid if he's there. That would give us a power back, scat back, jack of all trades back in a RBBC. Shipley is a player though.

I think he and Jackson will combine as a Reader replacement. Jenkins does not play like Reader, he wins vs blocks, Reader cold stops and powers through. Very different styles. Jackson hopefully clogs the A gap, Im not as confident with him, he was expected to be so much better this season after the year he had before. We will see.

Wonder if we like Stover at all.
Round 4 seemed like the CB round but damn id rather just sign a CB4 now or put Dax there to get him snaps. Would love Stover unless he got picked already

My fault, I misread your post. I thought we were talking about Jackson. I'm old, it's late, lol. That said I agree, and agree with the other post now that I re-read it.

I'd bet we keep the best players. Zac Carter cant be feeling to confident tonight.
Carter was drafted to high and is a bust IMO. Wouldn't be surprised if he isn't cut this summer.

Just watched a few highlight videos and Jenkins was definitely more of a “I’m not getting pushed out this gap” type of run stop DT but he at least showed flashes of power and bull rush. BJ Hill getting pushed out the starter spot to focus on getting sacks and starting this kid along Rankins seems like the best usage for him even if BJ is the better all around play year 1.
I really really value run stop DTs so i would not hate BJ losing snaps to a worse DT if Jenkins is the kid in the running

In Taylor's 5 years played we have drafted 2 Pro Bowlers (both were top-5 picks) and 0 1st Team All-Pros.
The only player left from Zac's first draft is 2nd round blocking TE Drew Sample.
The only guys from Day 3 in those 5 years that started the majority of at least 1 season are McPherson, Robbins, M Jordan, and Volson. Two specialists and two LGs that can't pass block..
We have been terrible drafters in the Zac era, we just got a couple real easy top-5 layups.
Okay, fair enough, but still better than Obguehi's and Price's of Marv's time for the most part.
Burrow, Chase, Higgins, McPherson, Logan Wilson are pretty damn good and I love the upside of Dax Hill, CTB, DJ Turner, Battle
and others.

Pass rush is something Jenkins can work on with his youth and upside. He was the run stopper for the Wolverines as he was meant to be.
Love the upside of Kris Jenkins as a pass rusher especially with Rankins and BJ Hill to help him out.

We really need to stop the run before worrying about pass rush from the interior, but that is also why we singed Rankins.
So many NFL players have character concerns that you never hear about, Burton is a low risk extremely high reward pick.
How many super bowl victors have had a starting "true NT" over the past decade? Im genuinely curious. Conference winners? It seems like leather helmet era type of logic that you need a NT. If you have a Casey Hampton or a Vince Wilfork OK but those guys are rare.
I don't see Burton as being that high reward tbh. He was graded as a 4th rounder, not that fast, small. His own coach went on and on about his lack of control. He smacked a woman with cameras all around. That sounds like a real...imbecile. A shit for brains. A genuine stupid person. Begging for Stanley Wilson or Adam Jones 2.0

How many have to play in the AFCN with Nick Chubb, Derrick Henry, and Najee Harris?

If there’s a good pedigree left guard from a big school tomorrow that’s my next pick
If not, go corner
Honestly may support a corner pick even if a good guard is sitting there.
Also wouldn’t hate TE but i almost wanna draft one high next year so we got him for 4-5 years. Really hope we get off this TE carousel soon. Seems like every historic QB had a guy at TE
