Winker
#1
Mlb app has a story about potential trade candidates.
Winker is listed as a possibility even if Nats are buying.

Trade a Speiers for him? We need a bat, imo, with McLain and CES up in the air to a degree.
Go Benton Panthers!!

Not high on Winker. He had an awful time in Seattle. Like the idea of trading for a bat though.

For me, these guys need to be getting near-full playing time unless needing a rest:
- EDLC (SS)
- India (2B)
- Steer (LF/corner IF)
- Stephenson ©
- Fraley (RF)
- Friedl (CF)
- Candelario (3B)

With Marte back, I think that helps with IF depth.
McLain and/or CES would bolster the IF even more.

Winker might be good primarily as a DH with ability to fill in for LF if/when needed.
But if there's a good bat who can also defensively play CF or RF well, I might look at someone like that over Winker.

Is there any way to get Luis Robert from the White Sox or Jazz Chisholm from the Marlins without getting rid of the the top prospect(s)?
Zac Taylor 2019-2020: 6 total wins
Zac Taylor 2021-2022: Double-digit wins each season, plus 5 postseason wins
Zac Taylor 2023: 9 wins despite losing Burrow half the season
Zac Taylor 2024: Started 1-4. If he can turn this into a playoff appearance, it will be impressive.

Sorry for Party Rocking!

I say this in the nicest way Ocho.... F the top prospects. Lol. 2/3rds of our Top-12 prospects are in A+ or lower baseball and all of them are a crapshoot on if they'll make MLB or be any good if they do.

Overvaluing Robert Stephenson, Billy Hamilton, Nick Senzel, Phil Ervin, Michael Siani, Jose Barrero, etc, and relying on them to be our saviors once they reach the majors has led to this decade of despair.

If you actually think we have a chance at winning this, just trade the guys needed to get good proven MLB players, and go for quality not quantity.
