Injured or fat?

Either way, unless you were ignoring reality, we all knew Brown wasn't going to play the whole season. He's been in the NFL 9 years and only played 12+ games in 3 of those years. If he was reliable then we couldn't have gotten him for less than $5m.

Non-Football injury is pretty broad. Not a good sign though given his history.

Dont even care. More 1st team reps for Mims and if hes good its gonna be hard to start Brown over Mims who put in more reps in practice. Mims needs to seize this opportunity

Mims going to see action before we thought?

I don't like throwing him into the fire right away but, if he's ready, I'm happy to see what he has, especially since Burrow will be under center more and pass rushers can't just tee-off, especially if we can establish a run game.

La'el Collins vibes...
I'm gonna break every record they've got. I'm tellin' you right now. I don't know how I'm gonna do it, but it's goin' to get done.

Wonder what the issue is?
Romo “ so impressed with Zac ...1 of the best in the NFL… they are just fundamentally sound. Taylor the best winning % in the Playoffs of current coaches. Joe Burrow” Zac is the best head coach in the NFL & that gives me a lot of confidence." Taylor led the Bengals to their first playoff win since 1990, ending the longest active drought in the four major North American sports, en and appeared in Super Bowl LVI, the first since 1988.

He didn't participate much in any of the offseason activities, so I'm guessing that whatever sidelined him last year is still not allowing him to participate now.

Volson is meh, but I like him, and he has far exceeded my expectations

He didn’t participate in OTAs because of a family issue not injury. However, he didn’t look to be in great shape when he was in camp in June. I’m betting he failed his conditioning tests

I predicted Mims would be starting week 1 (due to Brown injury or just plain beats him out in camp) and im sticking to that.

I was worried Trent was worn out and holding on. Looked like a good decision to sign him but risky based on issues at Pats

Most likely , as mentioned earlier, failed physical. Better get his act in gear or may be coming off the couch, I mean bench.

In all honesty, if Mims can beat him out straight up, having a guy like this on the bench for swing tackle depth would be a good thing.

I’ll give him the veteran benefit of the doubt. He knows his body and what he needs to be ready. This will give Mims valuable reps and a chance to seize the opportunity if he’s ready. Otherwise I hope Trent is able to get time to gel with his linemates.

Let's hope he can be ready to compete for a roster spot prior to the start of the season.

I am so ready for 2024 season. I love pro football and hoping for a great Bengals year. Regardless, always remember it is a game and entertainment.

Zac said Trent had some tightness and will work with a trainer out if an abundance of caution

CTB is out as he recovers from a tonsillectomy

Chase and Higgins will alternate light work days for the first week or so

Oh crap, I had a tonsilectomy when I was about CTB's age and about a week later I came within a minute or two of completely bleeding out. It was a race to the hospital in an ambulance.

I had a rough go with a tonsillectomy and almost bled out at 21 too

I'm not concerned with someone not being active in July since the regular season is still 6+ weeks away.
I'm also not concerned if Mims (or someone else) ends up covering RT just fine if/when Brown ends up being out.

My only concern will happen if RT ends up being subpar like almost every other season in recent years.
Zac Taylor 2019-2020: 6 total wins
Zac Taylor 2021-2022: Double-digit wins each season, plus 5 postseason wins
Patience has paid off!

Sorry for Party Rocking!
