UFL OPOY Hakeem Butler
#1
Romo “ so impressed with Zac ...1 of the best in the NFL… they are just fundamentally sound. Taylor the best winning % in the Playoffs of current coaches. Joe Burrow” Zac is the best head coach in the NFL & that gives me a lot of confidence." Taylor led the Bengals to their first playoff win since 1990, ending the longest active drought in the four major North American sports, en and appeared in Super Bowl LVI, the first since 1988.

Nothing wrong with giving the guy a look. Good luck to him as he tries to earn an NFL contract.

He's been in the NFL before. Former 4th round draft pick, he bounced around to three teams before being out of the league. He also bounced around the UFL a bit before producing. I hope he is able to find some success in the NFL but I highly doubt it will be here. The Bengals have a stacked receiver room as it is.

Ngl i feel he’s just a practice squad body so the corners have a tall guy to practice against so Tee doesn’t have to do it

Who knows maybe he can beat out the #5 WR (Jones? Irwin?) and provide help on special teams.   I just wonder given his history why he hasnt produced much at the NFL level.  With his size and speed it looks like he has the physical tools.  He has been given an opportunity with the Cardinals, Panthers, Eagles and Steelers and wasnt able to stick with any of them so it makes you wonder what the issue is.

We just signed Hakeem which I love and can finally post on the board again. Been some messed up stuff on the board for like the last
couple weeks. But anyways, Hakeem Butler is a monster and believe he could be more than just a depth player on the deepest WR core
on the current NFL's best WR core.

Butler is bigger than Tee and more physical. I know it took awhile for him to blossom but he goes up and gets the ball like a beast.

Love the Hakeem Butler signing. Wink

I like the signing.whats that old adage...
You can't teach size??
Very low risk signing . He is still young
some guys just take longer at times
reach their potential.
Look TJ took a few years before he
put it all together. Maybe Butler never was in a offense
system that highlighted his skill set

I’m sure they are kicking the tires on a Tee replacement (size etc). Not trying to take this thread in the wrong direction but I can see Chase wanting 1 Billion. We won’t have money for Tee.

*Edit. Just learned he is being looked at to join the TE room not WR.
Kind of a head scratcher.

It can't hurt to see what he has. A lot injuries occur during TC.

Speaking of McCarron, I guess the Bengals arent bringing him back?

Good question, I thought we would bring him back myself. AJ played very well with the Battlehawks throwing to Hakeem Butler.

He was injured late in the season though, so maybe that is why he isn't back in Bengal stripes yet.

Brining in more bodies into an already full recieving group makes me wonder if we will see a trade before the season. Tee is the only one that makes sense from a get alot back perspective. Not saying Hakeem replaces him by any means just that we are stacked at the moment.
