Per Zac Taylor it’s a torn Achilles for Cam Sample

Jesus man

Getting Carl Lawson at this point may be necessary.

Hubbard hobbled, Ossai a question mark after a down year, Murphy looking good but a question mark because it’s not in actual games…

We may need to persuade Carl Lawson from Dallas and STILL trade for another guy.

This may be a perfect chance to trade a safety for a comparable young end

Give away a guy like Tycen Anderson or even Battle for a guy in a similar career spot

Just saw this myself. Yes sir, we need another End that is for sure, maybe 2. I have heard both Trey and Sam will be ready for the opener
but Cam Sample was a guy who had a lot of snaps behind these guys last year and was solid. Have always had high hopes for Ossai but
he is always hurt or let that bonehead move get into his head. Really like Myles Murphy going into this season, but we need someone now.

Lawson would be a good one for the pass rush, we might want a guy who can also stop the run too as that is not Lawson's strength.

Desperation move for sure

Only listed him because i imagine he has very high trade value

We don’t just need a body to play. Cam was very important last year so we need a good DE. So you gotta give something to get something so that’s why i dangled Battle out there.

It hurts because to me he was our best hope for a Nickle DT. If they sign an DE then he would also have to have DT capabilities to replace sample.

Jessie Bates left the Bengals and that makes me sad!

Ouch...it's already started. Definitely going to need help. Sample was a solid piece in the rotation.

Volson is meh, but I like him, and he has far exceeded my expectations

Maybe we'll continue to shock us all and sign a free agent d-end.

Teams are going to have to throw to keep up with us, so strengthening our pass rush is important.

Sample has 5 sacks in three years.  He's more of a run defender than a pass rusher.

If they add someone significant, it will be because they aren't confident in Ossai and Johnson as the 4th and 5th DE's, with Gunter in the mix, as well.

Hate injuries anytime.

We need Murphy and Carter to step up.

We still have 4 DE's:

Hubbard
Trey
Ossai
Murphy

We need to get. them all healthy in next 3 or 4 weeks.

I am so ready for 2024 season. I love pro football and hoping for a great Bengals year. Regardless, always remember it is a game and entertainment.

Don't push the panic button yet. We have some young guys to look at first.

I'd bet money you're a Steelers fan! So you saying Murphy is a no go but at this point we should be able to find someone better than him going forward? Really? LOL..and your solution is to give up a safety in return? I'd bet even more money that there is depth behind the starters that will perform up to the level of whatever free agent you are day dreaming of, already on the team!

Not a good thing to have happen, but at least it is early enough to get a good look at the younger players already on the roster and time enough to pounce on any camp cuts that may be worth adding

Lunacy. Battle is the future here at safety, and you won't get anything for often injured Anderson

Adding a free agent every time someone goes down is a lousy way to run a football team. They have depth at the position, and they will use it.
