Joey Votto Retires
#1
Votto has officially announced his retirement from baseball. Great career that got hampered by injuries during that last 10 year contract. Thank you for helping this team find the playoffs after missing for 15 years and hopefully you find yourself in Cooperstown one day.

HoFer and on the shortlist of all-time great Reds.

Wish the Castellini ownership had built teams around him during his career, and whatever he decides to do next, I am sure he'll crush.

I'm starting Votto at 1B on the Reds all time team. Great career and a fun player to watch hit.

Stat of the day...

Reds Joey Votto could come out of retirement and go 0-for-477 and still have a higher lifetime on-base percentage than Tony Gwynn.
