I thought Nate was a tier above Hill even though he is an OG only.  With Lee I dont see a need for Hill, just my opinion.....

You mean 10 days.

We have the same # of RBs we had yesterday. Williams isn't going anywhere.

You need a 3rd center somewhere. If not on the 53, then PS.

Though we could carry both.

We have 4 PS spots open. No RB or DE currently. Plus maybe keeping a spit for Rehkow once Robbins is back.

I do.

I also know the roster maneuverings are ongoing and we will add at least 1 more rb to the active roster and probably 1 or 2 to the practice squad.

I thought the Bengals were going to draft Justin Rogers.

I find it interesting we have 5 TE's on our 53-man roster + one on the PS.

Are we attempting to trade a TE? Maybe not, I just don't see us week 1 having 5.

I am so ready for 2024 season. I love pro football and hoping for a great Bengals year. Regardless, always remember it is a game and entertainment.

He sounds like a DT, former 7th round Cowboys pick

I wonder if it has something to do with the new kickoff rules?  TEs could be very valuable.

6'2 340 NT out of Kentucky/Auburn Bengals brought him in for a visit late in the process. I was expecting them to use their last pick on him but they went with Matt Lee and the Cowyboys drafted him like 10 picks later.

Has alot of experience in the SEC. I can see him getting called up early if McKinnley Jackson isn't ready to go.

Edit: Justin Rogers draft thread.

What this looks like to me is they are going to put someone on the IR then bring Williams back with that open roster spot.  They couldnt do that before the 53 man roster was set because you are only allowed to IR 2 guys and bring them back.  If you IR more than 2, those additional guys can not play for the entire season.  They used those two spots for Murphy and Robbins.  Now that the 53 man roster is set, the Bengals can now IR more guys.

Yes, 10 days is a very long time before the season starts, for sure. Obviously we'll get a 3rd RB, somehow, somewhere, my comment is how laughable it would be to have only 2 RBs.

So the new rule is only 2 in that noon-4pm cut down day time frame but 8 total IR designated to return for the year?

Not going to get too excited on Rogers. Cowboys must not have been too impressed after trading for Jordan Philips and adding Linval Joseph in recent weeks

Basically. You can have 2 that can pass thru cutdowns on IR without taking a spot on the 53. You can have 8 return off IR to the 53 for the year. I believe you get +2 for the playoffs.

So we have used 2/8 for the year.

Yes its a new rule this year.  The way I understand it is teams can designate 2 guys for the IR on cut down day and bring them back.  After cut down day and the rosters are set, teams can then IR more guys and bring those guys back as well.  All these IR designations will count against the total limit of 8 for the season + 2 more for the playoffs.  To me it looks like the Bengals are planning to put someone else like Mckinnley Jackson on the IR and will bring Williams back.
