Matchips week 7.

Iowa State vs WVU - One of my favorite receiver prospects Jayden Higgins is going to torched the terrible WVU secondary.
Cincinnati vs UCF - Dontay Corleone vs thr best rush offense in thr big 12 which includes RB RJ Harvey.
Florida vs Tennessee
Texas vs Oklahoma- Safety Billy Bowman vs this Texas passing defense.
Ole Miss vs LSU. NFL prospect matchups across the trenches in this one.
Ohio State vs Oregon - Derrick Harmon vs the Ohio State OL.

The two Ohio State edge defenders are the Bengals type.

Jack Sawyer 6'5 260
JT Tuimoloau 6'5 270

Could easily see either one in stripes as a day 2 pick.

Edit: Also I hate what Wink Martindale is doing with Kenneth Grant and Mason Graham.

Bengals need to keep an eye on Kyle Kennard DE from South Carolina. He’s been playing well all season and is giving Alabama fits today.

Also, thanks for all these posts Synric. I’ve been checking this thread each Saturday

Three of the South Carolina starting DL are going to get drafted this year. TJ Sanders has been outstanding although I think Tyler Booker got the better of him today.

I'm ignoring this thread soon because I won't get to see rhe Buckeyes vs Ducks game until late Monday night lol.

They both definitely fit the Bengals mold. I’m excited to watch them both play tonight against Oregon. I definitely prefer Sawyer over JT at this point. He has a high motor and gets after the QB. JT seems widely inconsistent to me but definitely has the physical tools.

I wanna repeat I'm a big Jayden Higgins fan. Just shy of 6'4 215lbs big, runs good routes, good hands, and catches TDs.

Found it odd how the clock ran on Ohio State at the end and Ohio State didn't realize it. I know the QB didn't but you would think the coach would. It almost seemed like they didn't think it should be running.

I think this is a fun read about offensive players: https://www.pff.com/news/draft-2025-nfl-draft-updated-top-five-prospects-offense

Bengals could probably look at WR, TE, or OL (T & G) as draft needs. Is RB even a possibility in round 1 with a guy like Jeanty or Hampton?

I think so.  We can see the difference between Moss and Brown.  I think Jeanty is generational.  I also think the fans would get behind a pick who will contribute from day 1.
Would the Bengals draft a swing tackle, developmental OL, or TE in round 1?  Are the Bengals going to pick another early WR knowing we may not sign them to a second deal?  I'd like to see an elite talent at an elite position of need, i.e. a rush DE or cover CB.  The advantage of a stud RB is that the team could actually resign them if wanted.

RB might be the deepest position in this upcoming class. It wouldn't surprise me if the Bengals drafted two day three RBs like they did with TE last year and carry a large room (4).
