49ers 1st round pick Ricky Pearsall shot in the chest.

Pearsall was shot in the chest during a robbery attempt.  Apparently the suspect was trying to steal Pearsall's Rolex watch.  Pearsall is said to be in stable condition.

Quote:The robbery attempt was for Pearsall's Rolex watch according to the police department (via Cunningham). There was, "a struggle for the gun," and the suspect also suffered a gunshot wound. He was wounded and also stable, with both Pearsall and the assailant at SF General Hospital.

A police press release indicated that, "During the attempted robbery, a physical altercation ensued." It also indicated charges were pending against the suspect, whose identity was not given in the release.
