Imperative that Burrow Plays Entire Season Healthy
#21
It'll be interesting to see if/when we ever see Burrow sit out a game due to a short-term injury, because the guy is either our starting QB or he's on IR.  Last year showed that we will play him at what looked like 30% capacity.  If he's capable of walking and gripping a football we will play him, even if he can only throw the ball 5 yards or shuffle and so on.

Is Burrow on IR?  No?  Well then he starts.  Not capable?  Not ready?  Doesn't matter.  Well, maybe Browning looking decent will shake that up, but it sure seems like the answer is Burrow starts or Burrow is out for the season.  Ironically, Burrow and ZT could "ironman" Burrow into an injury-plagued and disappointing career.

That means nope reading between the lines and watching how he played Sunday.

It's upsetting because we've been waiting for a game changer like Burrow forever and finally get one and the front office mismanaged the whole thing not protecting him with players and proper coaching.

Hoping he comes out Sunday and lights it up...one can hope right?

Stop.

He has said it himself that he is 10000% healthy. He's made every throw in camp. Hes made the throws during pre season and actual games.

He's healthy. Stop listening to this weird narrative out there that hes not. Everything going on with Burrow is above the neck. He starts out slow every year. I promise you he will be fine.

I'm not saying Burrow is hurt, but I don't recall in week 1 ZT and/or Burrow saying "Oh yea, he's at a get cut from a CFL squad because you're so bad" level right now, but we're putting him out there.

Maybe my memory is over exaggerating, but I feel like Burrow was like "10 yard pass?  Dude, there is no way I can do that." in week 1 last year.  He was out there like he was that WR on the Broncos who had to play QB because their whole QB room was covid-ed out.  Seeing week 1 Burrow out there while knowing we had 2 people who were being paid to be NFL QBs just standing on the sidelines still blows my mind.

I'm not living in fantasyland. What u said about him being fragile is true, but it's also true that our O-line has been a problem for years and they haven't done what is necessary to make it better. His shredded knee was directly because of the bad o line BTW.

He flat out said he missed those reads on the last drive...."Not my  best series" is what he closed with. He's a film junkie, he will figure it out.

"Better send those refunds..."
